  1. Well, here's the pic. This stuff works great. I let it dry overnight before sanding and I'm happy with the results. I'll not be mixing up any Bondo again. :-)
  2. The engine stand came from the parts box too but with a few enhancements since it was in a few pieces.
  3. Bondo also makes a body filler that comes in a small tube and doesn't need to be mixed. I found it at my local auto parts store. It comes in a small tube and sands just like the mixed bondo. If anyone is interested, I'll take a picture of the tube tonight and post it here.
  4. Thanks Gene. The front wheels are from the parts box and I'm not certain where they're from. I DO know they are not from the DDragster kit as those have thicker spokes and larger diameter hubs. I think they're from the '57 Ford gasser kit but not certain.
  5. A bit more done this weekend and the major holdup was the Reath fuel pump which mounts to the back of the blower. Made one out of a piece of spruce and shaped on my Dremel. Added Scale Hardware rivets for the detail. Also prepared the magneto. Had one ready for install but I'll be danged if I can find it. Had to source another one from the parts box. Here's the magneto and fuel pump. Also got the injector plumbing done by using RB Motion stainless steel tubing, piano wire and some thin black wire insulation. Also had to flatten the front leaf spring since the car sat too high. Got the rims painted and mounted the tires so the front end is complete. The radius arms will be fun. Here's a couple of pics. The chassis got cleaned up after some bondo work on the joints. The bell housing was painted but needed to be sanded and puttied again because of a few pits. Things are staring to move along with assemblies painted. Stay tuned and comments always welcome.
  6. Dang Clay. This is as real as it gets in scale. Love your work and how clean it is.

  12. Chris......this is your conscience talking.......more bench time.......need more bench time.......bodily functions will cease without it.......obey at all costs
  13. Outstanding update Clay. You HAVE had a busy weekend. Keep those updates coming. Now excuse me while I go dump my drool bucket.
  14. Now that is really nice. I LOVE it!! Greg is right about blowing up the pictures. You've got to to appreciate all of the fine details and craftsmanship.
  15. Got a bunch of time in yesterday and made a ton of modifications to the frame using aluminum tubing with the ends 'fishmouthed'. I started with the yellow Pennzoil sprint car kit that I bought as a started kit along with the red Steve Kinser kit. I'm using the frame from the Pennzoil kit but a number of other items will be from the Kinser kit since whoever started the yellow Pennzoil kit didn't align the parts properly when they glued them together. The red kit wasn't started but the frame was warped. As with most kit tubular frames, the cross section was 'D' shaped from the moulding process. All of the yellow frame has been filed to resemble round tubing and will require more fine sanding before any primer. Here's my progress from yesterday. Comments welcome.
  16. That turned out nice Gerald. Glad to help you get this finished.
  17. You hit it out of the ballpark. This is a great kit with a variety of parts. The couple of additions really make this pop. Nicely done.
  18. Liking this one Brett. Nice, clean out-of-the-box build.
  19. That is one nice Camaro Norman. Any more pictures available?
  20. Ingenious!! Very bright and lively. An explosion of color. Perfect.
  21. That is AWESOME!!
  22. Always love your builds Ty. Glad this one's off the back burner. What color(s) are you thinking of?
  23. Holy @&%$ΒΆ Chris. That is a thing of beauty. The forum software has sensors that won't let me say what I really want. The emblems on each end really set this thing off. I wish you successful luck when trying to contact Skip. Sounds like that has some possibilities.
