Wow. I'm glad I don't have a dog in the '90 Mustang LX fight.
Rick Schmidt replied to LDO's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I take offense to above statement and now we must be mortal forum enemies and fight on the forum forever !!.. I actually like the look of a hatch without a spoiler better. Roof just flows right to the tail of the car like a fastback should. Spoilers on the hatch always looked tacked on to me and just wreck the lines. I could be biased tho since I'm an early Fox guy and they could be had sans spoiler -
Aint gotta have weights on the outside of the wheel. Been running a Static Balance on my 01 Mustang for years now. Won't have an ugly chunk of lead on my wheel since I painted them black.

God be with our friends and families in Oklahoma
Rick Schmidt replied to Danno's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
earlier Channel 4 showed video of the areas around the Leveled schools. The whole Neighborhoods were gone they said the Debris from the Missing houses were somewhere to the north. At one Point there were 75 children and teachers missing from one of the schools. I believe they have been foud at this time. They also reported a couple of teachers used their bodies to shield the little kids. One of those teachers is in bad shape. -

1967 Shelby Mustang hood ?
Rick Schmidt replied to doggie427's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
The Shelby Hood to fit a Standard 67 can be done pretty easy Just a matter of Shortening the Shelby hood and reshaping or grafting on a Standard hood leading edge. I stole the idea from a fellow member who had a 1/1 with a similar hood. Never thought it'd been an idea worth goin to a Caster about tho -
Finished this one up a few weeks ago but never posted it. Decided to go head an take pics of it today and show it. Its built Box Stock and the only real mod is the wheels which came n the kit.

Here's my most recent finshed build an 85 SVO thats ... slightly uhhhhhh Violated ...... Its sittin on an International Scout Frame with a light built 302 from who knows what. Aside from the obvious mods involving the frame its box stock lol. Did it just like they'd do a 1/1 this car still has its kit chassis pan under it even just no front subframe.

Why no shots with the doors an truck fully closed ?? an why no front 3/4 shots of it finished ??
-
When I seen the pics of the car I thought "Man thats Ugly" seeing your build tho I don't get that I think you have refined the idea and made it presentable. So far your build looks great

After Hours in the Shop
Rick Schmidt replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Lol But I don't feel as happy building with the blue tube... -
Weird things happen in the Midknight Customs and Restorations shop. Tools moved from where we left them, parts missing etc.... Tonight the security cams caught some activity after hours .....

Finished up this 92 T bird last night. Started with a bone stock SC I had sent in from a Guy in Canada. Was a real nice built car and I almost felt bad for modifying it, but that’s why I bought it This was the pic from the for sell post This was when I got it She lasted maybe 2 days lol Yanked out the V6 in favor of a V8 … Now before I get the but the SC v6 had nearly v8 power just wait Cause the SC V6 didn’t have 500 + hp lol. Put in the 5.4 from a GT500. Kept it all under the hood so the K member is cut all to pieces lol. True dual exhaust goes all the way out the rear with some modding to the fuel tank shape and 2 t bird exhaust systems. Wheels are from a Subaru WRX kit with parts box tires. Body and Interior are the original Molded plastic and the tan the original builder used . Wanted to keep as much of the original car as I could to keep the Modded car feeling.

I want "so and so" to send me a PM...
Rick Schmidt replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Could be the dreaded Full PM box problem From what I've hear in the past is ya can't PM someone if the box is full. Never reached that point so Dunno for sure -
A Law?
Rick Schmidt replied to MoparWoman Jamie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's possible there is a law that says something to that effect and he seen it mentioned on tv. Most if not all areas have a lot of laws that are stupid and even pointless in this day and age..... Not any laws tht are enforced anymore if anyone even knows about them without looking in a law book and knowing exactly where to look. Try googling something to the effect of useless or stupid laws ... You'll see ..... I don't want to get busted for this one Cars must be tethered outside of public buildings..... tis a law somewhere here in Oklahoma ..... best get ya ropes out -
