  2. 1/12 '69 Camaro Z/28 modified reissue with Chip Foose designed wheels and graphics If this is accurate i really hope that the parts are there for a stock RS/SS. I won't touch it if is only a foose. On the other hand, i would imagine the aftermarket guys would step in eventually and fix the shortcoming like Scale Motorsports. joe.
  3. With regard to Norbies Technique i can attest to thin like milk and 10 - 12 lbs of pressure. It works very well for me. I cannot get down to 1" from the surface though. also he does not say how wide a pattern his ab sprays. In any event, i bought 5 bottles last night. All gloss enamel. Enough for 2 Corvettes and a '70 Challenger. I appreciate the tip about compatible clears. joe.
  4. 1. Alclad chrome is great, easy to use. Rubs off with handling. over coat with Alclad Aqua Gloss #602. Result is that it is more durable and realistic looking in my opinion. 2. I use the blade to open panels. I use the BMF tool to deepen panel lines. 3. Use any tape you want. seal the painted edge with a bit of future. paint. run the sharp edge of a #11 blade along the painted side of the tape to break the future seal and remove.
  5. I believe Europe already requires water based paints and clears. My guess is European builders will get there before U.S. builders. joe.

  14. Good words to share. I have started to lose the weight and exercise more. The weight is coming off more slowly than i like but as long as it does it keeps me motivated. Thank God I have a wife who is a great cook and she really knows her stuff when it comes to low fat, low sodium and high protein. joe.
  15. the two i would consider building are the Revell '60 Corvette and the Austin Healey 3000. The 'Vette is in the stash and the 3000 is still at the LHS!!! joe.
  16. Looks very good. Could I see a picture of the underside? thanks, joe.
  17. Well it depends what you did with all of those coats of primer. If you sanded each one down and kept the panel lines open probably ok. I do two coats; one gray sanded out pretty well (but not through to the plastic) then a white primer that basically gets polished down with high grit wet paper. joe.
  18. Great interior shots. Those 67 shots are of a convertible right?
  19. Definitely one of my fav cars and you did a really nice job on it! I think all the aspects, color and wheels, combine to make a fine representation. Joe.
  20. I remember being in the back seat of one of those. It was like being in an old curved love seat!! What a boat. I really liked the looks though. joe.
