  1. I love all of the old AMT kits with all their imperfections, medal axles and all. Even the hole in the engine block on some of them never bothered me. I stil could build any of them over and over.
  2. The Black Widow 1926 Ford Model T Roadster. http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/featuredvehicles/0909rc_1926_ford_roadster_pickup_black_widow/photo_02.html
  3. I forgot to mention the snapper! Yes it is a wondeful kit, way better than the high parts count kit. It has a shiny finish that almost doesn't need painted. The stance is great and makes a beautiful shelf model. I had one and let it go, my mistake. Might find another one some day. Thanks!
  4. This one I keep doing over and over thinking maybe I will overcome it's short comings. The front suspension is horrible and the windshield is too thick and a poor fit. I have trimed the windshield, trimed the dash, lowered the suspention, narrowed the suspention in every attempt to get one right. I should probably give up and build the Monogram model. I prefer 1/25 scale but, enough is enough! I had a Monogram '53 built at one time but, I think it got dropped and broken. If I remember correctly it was an easy build.

This is what I would like to point at to a lot of people who say they can't afford model kits. What a piece of totally scratch building!!! I love it, what an inspiration.
  8. The Pyro VW Beetle was bad and out of scale and has a flat back. Still a fun build for me, just didn't get too hung up on details and kind of ratted it out. I agree with (post #16), the two- piece mismatched AMT '57 Corvette being a bit of a challenge also. I glued the front end on and still much body work was necessary. Seems like the windshields never fit right on AMT Corvette convertibles. Worst for me AMT '53 Corvette, I have built it 6 times and never happy with the result. The snap version on this one looks much better. I'm sure there are many more worse kits I have built over the years but, they are long gone!
  9. Post #17 is too funny! I was thinking the same thing. It made me laugh out loud, really!!!! Nice job on something different.
  10. Double cool, I love them both! The color pops! Love the push bar.
  11. I love it! Nice job. Neat display also.
  12. Very nice!!! Love all the detail and open doors.
  13. I used the "Happy Wife, Happy Life" one on her and she loved it! She repeats it every time she sees another couple in disagreement, on TV or where ever. I think it's true after 39 years of marriage to her.
  14. Okay, you have me excited once again!!! Over the top NICE! I love your work Richard! Looking forward to all the rest.
  15. As for the green-walls, my first thought was, " Oh new tires before they are washed". Although that would usually be a blue coating. Thought maybe the lighting? If you are just after a slight old tire look or discolored, sometimes I mix a drop of yellow in the white before applying it to the tires. I forgot to mention the fine job on your foiling in my first post. I like the overall look of the satin white. Green-walls, why not? It's getting plenty of attention.
  16. Looks good and it makes me want to build another. Nice job on the wiring and two-tone interior.
  17. Very nice job, it looks show room new.
  18. Nice truck, I like your display also.
  19. Nice job on the weathering. It looks like a real workhorse.
  20. Another nice one! I need this body to build one I remember when it was new.
  21. Beautiful!!! Where is Crazy Jim? Brett, you are "ON IT!!!!" with all your posts I've seen today.
  22. Nice job Brett! This is a wonderful kit to practice foil work on, nice job on that as well as the paint. I like the stock appearing wheels too.
