  1. Nice model, I love the Black and Red on a '32. I always love the hubcaps and steel rims on these also. Nice job!
  2. Nice job, love it!!!
  3. Love the Beetle! Orange is one of my favorite colors on these. We had an orange '74 among many others over time. Don't remember ever seeing a hitch on one but, great idea. Great Model!
  4. The rear tires are from the AMT Meyers Manx, front not to sure about. They look a little like snow tires, I think the guy I got them from said they may have come from a Jeep kit. Thanks for the positive feed back guys.
  5. I don't spend much on anything anymore. Wife does most of the shopping. I have about all the supplys I need already from past spending I guess. If I go out at all it will be for glue or paint most likely. Sorry, I'm not helping buisness anywhere, I know! I receive a gift certificate for a hobby store sometimes since everone knows I love building models, that helps.
  6. Enhanced.
  7. After a night in the dirt.
  8. What to do wih an old junker? Here's my answer.
  9. This thread will not let me vote at the top, "something went wrong" is all I get. I say big scale MODEL, you have fooled me on too many of these Harry.
  10. Beautiful! In a different setting it would look real. Everything about it looks perfect, congratulations.
  11. Sad story, hope they are reunited. Wouldn't it be great if Chip Foose had it?
  12. I love this story Tom, it almost brought a tear to my eye, really! Thanks for sharing. This was better than money.
  13. The local hobby shop owner wanted me to build for some customers. I told him I wouldn't know what to charge. A few other guys said they would build just for a duplicate kit for themselfs. No, not me. I thought of a flat fee like $100 or maybe what a Franklin Mint car would cost. They laughed. Now my price has gone up. I got offered $50 for a paint job which I think is fair but, the guy never came through. Look what the "Old Man" charges, about $300 I think, and he does some award winning work. I say make it worth your while and build your confidence in your own work, or just build for yourself and enjoy.
  14. I ran into him once at Indy in the pits right after climbing the fence at the end of the race. I was 16 at the time and didn't know who he was until a friend told me too late. He gave me a dirty look after running smack into him. That was my first race, I was just a dumb kid. I always wondered if he would remember that encounter, probably not, I will never know. I will never forget. R.I.P. Jim
  15. Thanks guys. Bill I know what you can build, your comments mean a lot to me, thanks
  16. It is a nice kit I will say that. I turned mine into a '69 to represent one I owned when new. The new '69 Revell kit is much better in some respects but, I still love the old AMT kits. Hope to see it when you finish one.
  17. It looks good! I like the colors, nice contrast,

  24. It looks great in the photos Tom, congratulations on getting one finished. I have to pick an easy one to get me recharged pretty often. I always have loved the Falcon.
