  1. Looks good! Love the two-tone.
  2. You won my heart with the Bus.
  3. This must have been a fun project and now you have a real treasure to keep for ever. Nice job, the decals and wheels look great.
  4. Welcome Dave.
  5. Very nice. Easy to "slam it on the ground" but, how? I would love to see the underside. Nice job on the patina too!
  6. Now I have to see this movie again, it has been years. I noticed the white steering wheel on another '48, probably the original color they came with. I always have loved these cars even though this is my first besides the new Revell custom. Now I will have to build the one from "Grease". lol I also remember one Lumpy drove on "Leave it to Beaver" TV series. Thanks again for all the great comments, I don't think I have ever had this much response on any of my models.
  7. I remember building that kit as a youth. All the opening doors were the real challenge for me and the working steering. If I remember correctly it had all the options on chrome trim for any model 110, 210 or Bel Air. Way beyond my skill level. Parts were around in boxes for years. The top was cut off in an attempt to graft it to a Revell '55. Yours is the best I have seen of this kit, nice model.
  8. Still a lot of detail for a quick build. Nice work.
  9. Thanks for the tip Harry. My foil work is not so great, I know. Okay so I had to look up this Biff Tannen guy and I see what you mean about the car. Biff, not so great of guy but, I do love his car. http://backtothefuture.wikia.com/wiki/Biff_Tannen?file=Back_to_the_Future_Part_II_-_biff_gets_the_almanac A BIG THANKS to everyone else for all the nice compliments.
  10. Welcome Raul. You have an interesting collection.

  12. This is a Revell "48 Ford convertible built box stock. Very nice kit I only wish it included whitewall tires instead of decals. I used Dupli-Color Gloss Black right out of the can. Interior done with Testors Flat Red and Future shine mixed with just a little drop acrylic black. Lots of BMF on this one. Thanks for looking, any comments welcome.
  13. Thanks guys, enjoyed all the comments.
  14. Thanks guys for all the possitive feed back, it means a lot to me.
  15. Thanks guys. Ray, this is the way I relax, my wife likes to read and I build models. She finished three novels. It was just a simple kit and probably all I could build in a week. Here's a view from our window.
  16. Thanks everybody. Niko, thanks for the tip about the headlamps. It was just a quick build with little to no detail. No weathering like I usually like to do and all the wires are hidden. lol It was fun and still a bit of a challenge which, the early Revell kits usually were. Thanks for looking.
  17. I built ths one while on vacation a week in Florida. Out of box stock. I used American Tradition Ultra Enamel Willow Satin. The old AMT Trophy series kits are still a lot of fun.

  19. Out of Box 1995 issue by Revell. I picked up an unbuilt kit for $5 at a local show/swap. Challenge to myself to assemble with all the doors working and as close to box art as possible. Lots of small parts with working steering connected to steering wheel. This is the part that bit me. The steering actually worked until a piece popped out and broke upon reassembly. The wheels all rolled (which I always like), except the front wheels stuck out way too far. The fix was to trim the pins and axles and make the front wheels non-rolling. The two piece front tires were also a challenge. I used Testors Lime Ice one coat Lacquer with no primer.
  20. Beautiful work on everything! The wood bed, the engine and the wheel in hand look like expensive jewelry.
  21. X2 Couldn't have said it better.
  22. Very nicely done, great attention to detail. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Nice job on the '57 and the station.
  24. Thanks Gene but they were the small front tires that I worked on, not the slicks. These seem to be hard to come by for me, maybe because I don't build many gassers. I have some older Revell tires from about 50 years ago I will be using. I have used the black silicone gasket sealer mentioned above by James on another project. It almost looks like you could make your own tires from it from a mold. Maybe for another day. Good luck with your project.
