  1. I agree. Too late I already voted REAL. Large scale model, I am convinced now and no valve stems.
  2. Real gravel, not sure about the car. The wire wheels don't look right to me. This could be a fooler but, I say REAL.
  3. Here's an image of the real car from Custom Car Magazine. It's about time someone did this one in small scale, love the idea.
  4. Very cool, I love it. Nice job.
  5. Very impressive work! I love the exhaust and engine detail. The wheels are beautiful.
  6. It has that "vintage look" I fell in love with many years ago. Love the new angle shot.
  7. That's what I'm talkin bout! I have yet to build one, this is sooo cool! Nice job on keeping the 4 banger, I love it! The paint and wheels are perfect also.
  8. Neat, it will look good in the desert scene. I like the idea of real cactus plants in a diorama.
  9. Thanks James, I will have to look into ordering some.
  10. PERFECT! At first I thought you had some baby spiders in there, very convincing. The rust looks real! Some broken glass in the window frames would be a nice touch though. I love the fender skirt on one side.
  11. Nice job! I like the color choices on the surf boards, makes the whole model pop. Are those the kit wheels? They look extra deep, I would love to have a few sets of those.
  12. I will echo NICE!
  13. Nice, in a strange way. After looking back and forth multiple times, I decided I like the silver at the bottom better. What did you decide Al? Neat idea really. I have seen rusted on one side and shiny on the other, barn find on one side and restored on the other, transparent on one side, well you get it, and now this. Nice job on all the finishes by the way. Judging by all the comments, it was a success.
  14. Nice job Jim.
  15. Looks great, sleeper style.
  16. Another Welcome from me. I'll be watching for your stuff Dale.
  17. Nice save and good find. My very first 1/25 scale model was a '60 Edsel convertible purchased in 1960. It didn't come out that nice but, I had a lot of fun with it.
  18. Perfect hot rod color, also love the body color on the valve covers and the wheels are perfect. Do you here an echo?
  19. Nice weathering, it looks pretty realistic.
  20. Nice work, the color is perfect.I should learn from you and pick some oddball colors, that's what makes this build not so ordinary. I love it! The photos look like a real, full size car in your driveway.
  21. Nice, I like the color and the wheel choice.
  22. I was there, very nice show. I did get some photos but, the lighting there was terrible and when I used my flash it was too much on close-ups. Maybe someone else has some better ones. I did see some expensive cameras being used. The venders were great also. I found several guys selling out and offering kits for $5. Guys my age are realizing they will have to leave ther stash to someone when they are gone and are starting to worry. Not Me!!! At least not so far.
  23. You guys are looking at it all wrong! There are thousands of little hobby shops across the country in our hobby rooms. Think about it, we have more kits in our stash than a lot of retail stores. I have friends that have hobby rooms well stocked as well as mine. We order supplies on-line the same way hobby shops do. I always wondered why I should go to the LHS to find what I need to only watch them order it on-line and tell me to come back in 2 or 3 days, when I can do the same thing and have it delivered to my door. Just put a sign up! Or you could have an on-line store. On a lighter note they will be opening a new Michaels here soon.
