Good medicine for getting back into the hobby, I have to do one similar every once in a while, always seems to work.

Update: I tried the shoe goo on my two piece tires yesterday. This was on a Revell Thames Panel Truck issued in 1995. First off the tires did not come off the rubber sprues well. It left flat spots with no tread, ouch. The glue was a mess, trying to use it sparingly with a toothpick made a lot of little strings of glue. Out of the tube the hole was too big and allowed too much product. Maybe I should have used a pin to make the hole. The cost was $4 and change for a 1 oz. tube from Meijer, I only paid $5 for my model at a swap meet ( That's my negative way of looking at things my Wife always gets on me for.) Oh well, maybe I will need a pair of shoes repaired in the near future to offset the cost. My advise, find another set of one piece tires.

Thanks guys, I am getting ready do the same thing on a Revell Thames panel truck. The tires do look great. I have used two part epoxy in the past but, I think I will try the Shoe Goo. It does work good on shoes.

It looks good from all angles Chuck. I would love to have a right hand drive here in the States just for fun. If it's a "beater" you source parts from any year Beetle, right?

Ron, as far as you showing your model here. I don't mind. I love seeing other peoples work, and hearing their comments on the same kit. I like what you did. And I'm glad you showed the skate board. I'd like to hear more about your building of this exact same kit. What did you think of it? Did you too, think it was a nice and fun model to build? Scott Aho Scott as far as what I remember, I had parts in a box, not a complete kit. My son had built a Model A car and left parts from it. I thought maybe it was a two in one kit. I used a flathead Ford engine and other suspention, homemade exhaust and I believe the wheels are from a '40 Ford. It was a fun build built for a Forth of July theme for my club, thus the red-white and blue. I would love to build another and would probably go the same route as you with a stock build. I love the Stingray bike, thanks for including that, I wondered what kit it was from. I used mine on another build o here's a couple more pictures.

The cool part of the movie were the stars. Besides the car there was Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys and singer James Taylor. I have never seen the movie in it's entirety, only short clips on utube. These guys were so young at the time! Maybe the only movie ever made together? And maybe not such a great movie but, worth the time to watch for any car guy I think. How is he progress on this model going? More pictures please!
