  1. Congratulations Jim, I would pat you on the back if my arm would reach that far. Keep posting! And how many years did that take? I am approaching 3000, I just looked after seeing this. I will never catch you!!!!
  2. http://www.pinterest.com/rmvw/my-model-cars/ This is one way I keep track of my built models. Just wondered how many others on here do this? It seems interesting to me to see who pins my models and just another way to show them off.
  3. This is disgusting? This is Encouraging to me, that my models might actually be worth something to someone besides me!!! I guess I'm not a professional because, I haven't sold any finished one's yet.
  4. It looks pretty good to me. My motto has always been, "There is always room for one more."
  5. Yes Chuck, I forgot to answer your question in post #14 and YES is the answer. Another short; My Mom once read me a story about a sad broken down car and a guy bought it and made it new again to become one happy car. The headlights were eyes and the grill changed expression from a sad face to happy at the end. It was planted in my brain at an early age Some of the cars I have felt sorry for, a '37 Ford (looked so sad I've owned 2), every VW Beetle I see ( I have owned at least 5) and a few pickup trucks, they always look sad and broken when they get old (I have owned 7)..
  6. Any old car you have can become a money pit depending on how far you go with it. If you just want to get it back on the road and have fun without a full restoration looks like a fun project. I have seen a lot of your models and I'm thinking somewhere in that category. My family growing up had a '50 Dodge forever it seemed. (really only 11 years) My favorite time with it was when my Dad wrecked it and came home with part of the front fender cut off so he could still drive it. I started viewing it as a hot rod then. After that it got a fix and new black paint all over. Wish I had it now.
  7. I think of my models as real cars. I am extremely wealthy with over 150 cars in my barn. They started out as toys but, became real at some point in my life. They take me down memory lane often times and other times take me to world where I can afford to have any car I want. I think of past friendships and other people's rides, often building them. Sometimes I just think, "Well if Jay Leno was on my budget!" He is my age by the way so, that makes us on the same playing field, sort of. My wife reads all the time and I sometimes tell her my models are like her books.
  8. Sorry Harry, It just seems to me that pickups are almost cars the way they are treated here. They become hot rods and customs, are they a car or are they a truck, kind of like ElCaminos. I always forget to look for them way down in the forums and usually only see them under new content. Okay, and I am guilty for posting them under glass where you have to move them, sorry. Just my 2 cents, I didn't know we already had the big discussion. What you are saying about a single category is fantastic in my opinion.
  9. The nail polish is the ticket on this one, BEAUTIFUL!!!
  10. Nice job again Tulio, I never get tired of seeing your projects. Your blue one looks better not only because it is different but, I think the antenna is a lot more correct and the overspray on the underside.
  11. I think we should have ONE Workbench section for all car models, and ONE Under glass section for all car models. Harry Pristovnik I like this but, I would include pickup trucks.
  12. Just a little surface rust, it looks about right.
  13. The end product looks pretty painless, nice job. Yep, I like it!
  14. When I lost my Mother, over 20 years ago, she was suffering from diabetes and had lost the will to live. I would give anything to have back for a day but, she will always live in my heart and still comes alive in my dreams. Cherish every moment now even though it's a tough time for you, things will get better.
  15. They look as good as what I am building now at 63. How appropriate to have them next to the play ground. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I like your version of stock always Tulio, now stock photos in black and white what else? Very good.
  17. The paint looks absolutely perfect! Great job on the weathering. What was your source for the wheels? I love those also.
  18. I would have guessed it was a resin body, nice conversion, looks real. I never thought 4 doors were cool but, as models they really are. Love the taxi. A buddy of mine had a 4 door '56 with a 327 and 4 speed that fooled a lot of people.
  19. This is what happens when you live in the snow belt. Love the weathering. Is this your family with the Nomad? Pretty cool idea.
  20. Outstanding work as always Richard. I love your dioramas.
  21. Cool look Bill, I like.
  22. Outstanding cool I love it!!! X2
  23. Nice job Yuriy. I love the engine detail.
  24. Nice job, I love it!
  25. Had to take another look after reading all the comments and I agree with everybody, very nicely done.
