  1. Had a friend who's wife drove one exactly like this! Looks great, nicely weathered.
  2. Nice job Carl, it looks Show Room fresh!
  3. Thanks guys! Now I remember why I love it here so much after not posting for a while.
  4. Finished today, 8-5-13, box stock, Testors root beer lacquer, fun kit to build with many options, I will need more than one. Hope you like.
  5. Thanks for the heads up Doc, looking forward to the new season.
  6. Nice job, I love them both!
  7. Sweeeeeeet!!!!! It looks like a build by one of the masters. I think the kit was produced way beyond the 1:1 numbers so, no foul there for purists. Great design work and great imagination.
  8. Nice job, and congrats! I love the worn bike frame and grill in the bed.
  9. Beautiful job! I love the green paint and whitewalls, also love the trailer.
  10. Awesome!!!! I absolutely love it!!!
  11. Nice! I like it a lot!!!!
  12. I had an original which never got finished when I was a kid. I remember having the parts in my parts box for years. Any idea the year it was first issued? Seems like '63 or '64. Nice to see one finished and you did an excellent job. Hope you win some trophy's!
  13. My first Beetle was a light blue '67 and would probably look like that by now. I think I still see some lite blue paint on your's. Anyway, nice job!
  14. Born in 1950, do the math. Didn't realize there are so many youngsters on here. Just a Senior moment. Still feel like I'm 12 sometimes when I'm building. I built my first 1/25 scale in 1960, a brand new at the time '60 Edsel.
  15. They both look fantastic for brush paint, that must have taken a lot of hand rubbing afterword. Very nice even if they were sprayed. By the way, I'm a plane guy too!
  16. What do you consider your best modeling purchase? My first 1/25 scale model car.
  17. Okay, now I get it. I was having a bad day, depressed and feeling friendless. Thanks, it's all in fun.
  18. Nice job on a retro look. After building 4 or 5 of the same kit I have yet to build one fenderless but, always wanted to. A chopped top would be cool also. I love the '34 Ford pickup!
  19. What Art said in post number 7. Tires overinflated. MODEL
  20. Kevin, I was really sorry for the loss of your Brother, I can only imagine the pain. I only remember Struble Ave. because of the numerous letters I sent there to my Grandparents, that was over 50 years ago. I know a lot has changed there but, I have fond memories. The last time I was there was 1975 when my Wife and I were on our honeymoon. I wanted to show her where my Grandparents lived. The Sam's Club I was refering to is in Noblesville, Indiana, the closest one to where we live now. Some Happy Birthday but, please try your best to have one.
  21. I just saw this on facebook and left a comment. I'm really sorry to get this news. Good luck Rick, hope you will make a comeback.
  22. I wouldn't go back there but, Canton, Ohio is a little far to go for service. By the way, Canton, Ohio is where my Mother was from. I remember many trips there to see my Grandparents on Struble Ave. I went to Sam's club for tires and lost three of my center wheel caps on the way home. When I returned to Sam's their response was, "We don't have them". They cost over $50 a piece. That will be my last trip to Sam's for tires.
  23. What a piece of you-know-what! Cool!
