  1. Just finished looking at this under glass, I know, I'm doing this backward. I love the pictures at the beginning of this thread showing the hidden detail. When I built mine I left the body detached from the frame so I could always show off the frame. I love this model! Nice job once again Bob.

    Wild Manx !

I like it as is, why not build another? The engine looks terrific, I like the wheels and tires and the seats.
  3. The second 1:25 scale I built, an AMT '32 Ford survived several head.on demolition derbies with a buddy of mine and his '32, being rebuilt many times. Later I used lighter fluid on some and once gasoline filled the interior of a station wagon and actually blew up. Scared me a little. I discovered holding the models close to a light bulb to soften the plastic and make dents somewhere along the line. I think I destroyed the value of most of them just by building them.
  4. Looks good and brings back memories. I gave one away after I built it over 40 years ago. It looks exactly the same to my memory.
  5. Nice job! It took me a while to get around to seeing it, sorry. I also love the Dupli-color paints, nice finish. I think the bed boards look terrific. Hope to see more of your models here soon.

I love your paint all over! Out of work for a while I finally decided I was retired. Now I am totally healed from it. I understand your frustration.
  7. Love it! Cool idea with the signs . I have never seen one of these but, reminds me a lot of an MGTC , which I also love. Second thought, maybe a Morgan, at any rate it is cool.
  8. I have a couple older builds pretty much box stock of the AMT version. I have always been inspired by the Monogram Big T and am currently working on one. I also love the Norm Garbowski T and Tommy Ivo's, very traditional.

It looks good all over, very nice eye for detail. I too would love to own the 1:1. Nice photos also, thanks for sharing.
  10. Beautiful job!!! I don't know how I missed this one for this long. WOW!
  11. Beautiful truck, I want the 1:1 with the surfboards. Dig the white top on it too, just like whip cream on a sundae.
  12. Nice job Carl, great looking truck.
  13. Very impressive, it looks like it could become a show winner to me. I love your style.
  14. Looks good, nice color choice. The engine looks sweet. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Upholstery nails for the hubcaps, pick them up from Lowes.
  16. In all of my 63 years I have participated in 3 shows. The first one our club hosted so, our models were for display only. The second small, first time show I participated in I was surprised to return to the table and find a first place plaque by my model. The third larger show made me walk away feeling inadequate. I do enjoy the vendors and looking at other people's work though. Two local shows a year I will continue to attend. I enjoy looking here, displaying my finished work, and reading all the comments. Our club has failed so this is my club for now.
  17. Bill, Mine is a '70. This one is going the Volksrod route, I think. As I said, I probably should have done it first in 1/24 or 1/25 scale. Too late, I already started cutting. The sawzall is my best friend and a cars worst nightmare. lol I think this one is #13 for me. I like the EMPI nut name you picked, I missed that the first time I looked.
  18. Nice work and congrats on your 1st place. You just answered my question, "What do I want to build next?" Hope to see a lot more from your work on here.
  19. I'm not a big fan of "donks" and this one made me laugh out loud. You nailed it!!! The wheels never, ever, ever fit or look right IMHO. Wagon wheels? I do like the Model T. Looks like you had fun and that's what it's all about. A friend of mine did something similar with Amish buggies building them in different styles, always good for a laugh.
  20. Nice job on a two day build indeed, what a challenge!
  21. I appreciate all the work going into this one. On my 1:1 project bug I would be better off trying some of the mods on a model first, I will admit. It looks like a fun project you are doing.
  22. Nice job on a classic pickup.
