  1. UNDER GLASS 3/7/2013, Thanks for looking and for all the great help. I'm glad this one is finally done, next one will be easier I hope. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71769
  2. Here's the engine. Just kidding.
  3. Thanks Chuck and here are a few more pictures.
  4. Thanks Richard, I appreciate it. Thanks for your help on the foil. Here is the link to the build. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68233&st=0&p=841739
  5. I just finished the Ford, the Chevy was done a couple of years ago.
  6. I started this one Dec. 24 2012 and finally finished last night. It was always two steps forward and one step back on trying to get the two-tone correct. Thanks to some help on here I think I got it right or at least as close as I could. I was trying to get it to look like a Ford Black Widow to answer Chevy fans. Here are a few pictures to get it started. The engine shots didn't come out so good so, I will try again later and add them on.
  7. Cool little car! I worked with a guy who had a little Crosley wagon like this one. He had a special parking spot in the alley where no other car would fit. He drove it to work for over 30 years.

    PT CRUISERS

They look good Tom, nice collection of Cruisers. I like the one with the V8. Oh wait, you saved the best for last, nice!
  9. It looks good and you already have a trophy! The paint looks great and to tell you the truth that's about all it needed.
  10. Cool!!! I like the idea of the speed-sensitive card-in-spokes-sound synthesizer.
  11. Beautiful paint work with a Wow!!! Got a feeling it looks even better in real life than in the photos, if that is possible. Larry Watson would most definitely have been proud.
  12. Thanks again today for all the comments which once again made my day. I think this is probably the most compliments I have ever received on a model in such a short period of time. To me this shows the popularity that still exists for these old AMT '32s. They are still a simple fun build the way it all started for me and probably for a lot of you.
  13. I purchased my second kit already so, looks like I will be building at least one more. I plan on making it a Stock Car Racer of some kind. I really want to do the '50 Olds next but, still trying to finish up some other projects first. Good luck on what ever you build and I'm still looking forward to seeing your '57 finished. You inspired me to start my earlier then originally planed by watching you in the beginning of this thread. It's been a long haul with several steps backwards for both of us.
  14. Say it ain't so Harry!!!! I have enjoyed your run and you have stumped me almost every time, especially on the Auto ID ones.
  15. Glad to see you back. It looks like we are both going to finish about the same time. I am to step 14 on the directions, all the tiny trim pieces and decals. Are you ready to start a second '57 Ford? It might be a lot faster with everything we have learned about this kit.
  16. Wow that looks good! I love that version. It looks like you are ready to go after all the Black Widows.
  17. Great idea and if you slip, like I probably would you can always shave it off. All kidding aside, nice tutorial.
  18. Thanks Jim.
  19. Never made it out of the house last week, is the sale still on? I'm very surprised if it is. I might stop by Thursday on the way to my model club, thanks in Advance. Pun intended.
  20. I always think of green, gray, tan or a faded blue but, that's just me. I say any color you like.
  21. Looks good!!! Also enjoyed your entire Photobucket, you have some cool stuff.
  22. I once had about six or seven of my favorite models displayed on the fireplace mantle, (back in the '80s), when my stepson's half jungle cat he brought home ran across the mantle and knocked every one of them off. I was ready to kill the cat, it went on to destroy many things in our house until, my son and the cat moved out upon which time he had her de-clawed. I have since made up with my son but. never the cat. The cat hid from me every time I went to my son's house to visit and lived to a ripe old age of 23. And I have gone on to build many more models, so don't feel alone. I do sympathise with you.
  23. Thanks everybody! Every one of your comments made my day, much appreciated and helped make my project seem worth while.
  24. Thanks Bill. I'm still not happy with my photos. Thanks for all the encouragement, I can't wait to see yours finished it should be a show winner.
