  1. I actually did think of that, Jacob, after about the third coat of Testors Model Masters Wood paint. The front wheels might be easier to do that the rear wheels because if the hub size. On the rear wheels there is actually a flange behind the hub that covers a small part of the spokes. But like I stated in the original post, this was supposed to be a quick, simple build to get back into the groove.
  2. The hull looks nice so far. What did you use for the copper plating? Looks like gold.
  3. Thanks, Gator. It's just taking a heck of a lot longer than I'd like it to.
  4. You sure do see a lot of interesting trucks in Southern California, Clayton.
  5. I finally managed to get enough bench time to get the wheels done. Are they perfect? No, but sometimes you just have the say "Enough is enough"; and move on. I want to thank Mike Laliberte (Lunnajammer) & Harry Pristovnik (Harry P.) for inspiring me to do the wood spokes. Here's an over view: Left front wheel close-up (they all look like this): It's getting there: The next step will be to fix the lean to the cab, then more black!
  6. That's too cool! I sort of remember that show. I would have liked to get the 1/350 Enterprise, but I don't have anywhere to put it! Actually, I'm looking forward to "The General" release. Too bad Round2 doesn't update the MPC part of their Website.
  7. The flatbed looks nice.
  8. Looked great in 1986. Very well done.
  9. Great looking locomotive. Do you have any track? Is this a static model or an electric one?
  10. Nice, Dave. Now we just need a visor for the snap Kenworth W900.
  11. Excellent job. Looks like something that would spray liquid fertilizer or insecticides; but not manure. Very cool!
  12. The P/E grill really is an improvement. I remember Harold; he was a member over at the Yahoo! Group for a while. Made a P/E set for the Ford C-Series, too. Wonder whatever happened to him?
  13. Enjoy each stage, Clayton. They all have their fun times, trials, & tribulations. This stage is mostly eat, poop, sleep; and not necessarily in that order. They can't see very far, and they can't hear very well. In about three months when his brain is finally fully developed, he'll be a completely different baby. It's like turning on a light switch. All of a sudden he'll be able to interact with you, and laugh; it's really incredible. You'll see. If I may make a recommendation: get a copy of "The Happiest Baby on the Block" by Dr. Harvey Karp. You will NOT regret that purchase.
  14. Interesting take on the Road Boss. I wouldn't take it under any bridges if I were you!
  15. Frame & engine look really nice.
  16. Those black & gray Winslow Stripes look really nice on the gold. Are those from the kit?
  17. Great looking Dodge!
  18. Nice looking old White. Well done.
  19. You know, Austin & Rob, I thought the same thing. Call it "Artistic License". Keeps the diorama from becoming 5ft long. Anyway, well done, Manny. I like the damage to the car. Quite realistic. I don't think anyone would have survived that impact.
  20. Very nice progress. I like the engine detailing.
  21. Congradulations to you & your wife, Clayton. Sure is a little guy, isn't he? Your lives are about to change in ways you cannot even imagine right now. Enjoy your little boy; they really do grow up fast.
  22. Looking nice, Ray. Headlight lowering technique? I didn't see it on Tim's site. Can you post a link?
  23. I wonder though, is this standard gauge track (4ft 8-1/2") or Southern wide gauge track (5ft). What's also interesting is that these are going for $10 - $60 on eBay.
