  1. Nice looking conversion. Make sure you have a lawyer on retainer!
  2. I agree with Ken, Standing rigging, sails, running rigging. Good luck. It's looking really nice.
  3. Leave it to the Germans. That's awesome. I see it has Florida plates on it, too. I know there was some discussion about the kit having the incorrect exhaust for the engine that it has. I can't read the text, but I wonder if he fix that as well.
  4. That looks awesome, Angel. Excellent job. How were the decals? Were they easy to work with?
  5. What a difference. That looks so realistic. Well done!
  6. Very nice looking build, Chuck. What about something like building materials for a load?
  7. I'm no expert ship modeler, but I'm thinking for this scale (1/196) your best bet is Testors Copper paint. Maybe with a black wash or Dul-Coat to tone it down a little. Here is the Testors Copper on the deflector dish of my 1/2500 USS Enterprise. I think it will fit the bill for what you're looking for.
  8. Thanks for the positive comments, guys.
  9. I actually did think of that, Jacob, after about the third coat of Testors Model Masters Wood paint. The front wheels might be easier to do that the rear wheels because if the hub size. On the rear wheels there is actually a flange behind the hub that covers a small part of the spokes. But like I stated in the original post, this was supposed to be a quick, simple build to get back into the groove.
  10. The hull looks nice so far. What did you use for the copper plating? Looks like gold.
  11. Thanks, Gator. It's just taking a heck of a lot longer than I'd like it to.
  12. You sure do see a lot of interesting trucks in Southern California, Clayton.
  13. I finally managed to get enough bench time to get the wheels done. Are they perfect? No, but sometimes you just have the say "Enough is enough"; and move on. I want to thank Mike Laliberte (Lunnajammer) & Harry Pristovnik (Harry P.) for inspiring me to do the wood spokes. Here's an over view: Left front wheel close-up (they all look like this): It's getting there: The next step will be to fix the lean to the cab, then more black!
  14. That's too cool! I sort of remember that show. I would have liked to get the 1/350 Enterprise, but I don't have anywhere to put it! Actually, I'm looking forward to "The General" release. Too bad Round2 doesn't update the MPC part of their Website.
  15. The flatbed looks nice.
  16. Looked great in 1986. Very well done.
  17. Great looking locomotive. Do you have any track? Is this a static model or an electric one?
  18. Nice, Dave. Now we just need a visor for the snap Kenworth W900.
  19. Excellent job. Looks like something that would spray liquid fertilizer or insecticides; but not manure. Very cool!
  20. The P/E grill really is an improvement. I remember Harold; he was a member over at the Yahoo! Group for a while. Made a P/E set for the Ford C-Series, too. Wonder whatever happened to him?
