  1. Ok, I'll play! Here is a 1969 Trans-con Dodge L700 I finished in October 2009: This is my 1976 GMC Astro/95 that I finished in February 2010: Then I have a 1976 Matlack Mack WS686S Cruiseliner that I finished in September 2011: And lastly, my 1976 Chevrolet Titan/90 that I finished in April 2012: That's all the cab-overs I've completed so far. I do have a 1974 Kenworth K100 on the bench, but I don't have any pics. Hey, Does a 1970 American-LaFrance 1000-Series count? Finished in November 2009:
  2. Tom, the engine & frame are glued together.
  3. Thanks, guys. I have to admit, Mike, that you and Harry P. were sort of the inspiration for the wood wheels. I wonder if the AMT bed will fit on the ICM 1913 Model T Roadster? http://www.icm.com.ua/news/371-model-t-1912-roadster-american-passenger-car.html You'd probably end up with a pickup that looks more like the 1:1 I posted.
  4. Ok, so I really need another project like I need a hole in my head, but I wanted to build something quick & simple (so I picked an AMT kit ) to take my mind off of the 1974 Kenworth W900. (Not working!) The plan is to do a factory stock Model T similar to this one, but with the hard top: Here is where I stand as of right now. The frame is completed: And the cab & bed are assembled, but not glued on: I do plan on doing it in black (Any color you want, as long as it's black!), and I'm contemplating the wood wheels to sort of break up the black. Not sure about the spare tire, yet. I also considered picking up the ICM "Henry Ford & Co." to go with this, but I'm not much of a figure painter. http://www.icm.com.ua/news/379-henry-fordco-3-figures.html
  5. Nice clean build on the Chevrolet. Are you missing a wiper?
  6. That sure is colorful, alright! That paint job & the wheels really are groovy 1970s.
  7. Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm hoping to get some more bench time this weekend.
  8. Thanks, guys. I appreciate the kind words. @Dave: The Alcoa Wheels logos came from Scale Model Truck Studios (Kurt McLucas). He used to offer them in blue & black. @Gator: Very funny! I think I have a solution for the right side air cleaner & piping. I'm going to give it a try this weekend. With any luck, it'll work, too. @Jon & Dan: I try not to have too many modeling sessions like the past few on this truck. They're too discouraging!
  9. Thanks, Andre. It really has tried my patience the last few days. You almost got this one as a parts truck!
  10. I was really hoping to have a better update for you guys on this since it's been 3-1/2 years since I worked on this. Some of that was due to painting issues, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, since I pulled this one off the "Shelf of Shame" to try & finish it up it has been a real fight! Seems like every time I glue something on, something falls off! I went to glue the cab on, and the left fuel tank broke off causing the hood to fall off. Ok, so the hood wasn't such a big deal as I was going to take that off anyway, but I would have like to do it a little more gently. Then, trying to get the fuel tank back on, the air tank falls off! So I finally get everything glued back on (except the hood), and I manage to get the mirrors, marker lights, & horns on. I go to glue the air cleaners on, and they don't fit! The piping is too short. Not a total disaster since I can't get them to say on anyway, and in working with the air cleaners & piping, the engine breaks loose. Moving on to the exhaust system, I was trying to line up the exhaust tubing with the stacks and the cab falls off. It almost went across the room at that point. So, here is where it's at. I really hope it won't be another 3-1/2 years before the next update. Note air cleaner on the bench & not on the truck! Well, the mirrors, marker lights, & horns look good.
  11. I didn't think the hand crank was removable. I thought it was pinned in place. Shows how much I know about Model T!
  12. Not a problem. Just curious, that's all. Where's the hand crank?
  13. Well done on the Model T. I like it. Any plans for the Bell Telephone decals?
  14. Nicely done. Did you make the 9000 hood, or is that a resin piece?
  15. Nice tutorial. Looking forward to Part 2.
  16. This should be an interesting build. The kit looks like a nice one. Here is some background information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Brown_and_Franz_Stigler_incident
  17. Really nice looking White-Freightliner. Well done. The silver with the green really stands out. Definitely not a fleet truck.
  18. Jamie, those look like they might be GMC Astros ot Chevrolet Titans.
  19. Nice job, Rick. I like the red & silver.
  20. Looks really nice as a daycab. Well done.
