  1. If he has any of that at his table in Utica I'll try to remember to get some pics.
  2. Andre, here is the link to my build thread. I don't want to post pics of my build in your thread. I'm hoping to have some new pictures up this weekend. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46585
  3. I'll be seeing Gary on March 1st at the Spring Thaw Model Show in Utica, NY. I'll get a new list then.
  4. You've actually inspired me to finish mine. Thank you. What are you adding BMF to on the cab? I did the straps for the air cleaners & I'm planning on doing the trim around the doors.
  5. Looking really nice. I like this a lot. The addition of the wind deflectors is a good idea. What did you use to make them? How are you mounting them? I picked up this kit last year, and I'm just looking for ideas.
  6. Great save! I really like it. Well done.
  7. Nice conversion. Will you be doing a brass frame for this truck as well? What about the engine?
  8. I've never measured the AMT 1/32 truck wheels & tires, but I have seen them & they do look small. More like car tires.
  9. Nice looking trailer, KJ. Very well done. Hey, snow in Syracuse! Imagine that!
  10. Not a current list, but if you email him he'll send you one.
  11. That's pretty cool. Didn't know Gary was making LoneStar parts.
  12. KJ, if you'd like, I can bring a tire or two to Utica for you to see.
  13. Nice looking rigs. I remember Turkey Point. Big nuke plant there.
  14. In the 1970s it would have been Ford Blue, by the 1980s Caterpillar Yellow.
  15. Doesn't surprise me. The Ford V200 & V225 were built by Caterpillar for Ford. They were essentially blue Caterpillar 3208. If you want to be really correct, the 3208 was not offered by Ford from the factory in the LNT8000. The 3208 was only offered in the LN8000. The LNT8000 had the 3208T.
  16. This might help some: http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/cm09_sept_1991_cate/ Here is a pic from a 1973 Ford L-Series brochure: http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/ford/ford_l-line_1973/l-line-73-08.html That's a 3208 under the hood of a LN8000. What would be nice is if you could do the red & yellow labels for the valve covers (this is from a 1973 C-Series brochure): http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/ford/ford_c-series_1972/page_07a.html
  17. Actually, it's a Caterpillar 1160 or Ford V200.
  18. AITM has older Autocar hoods that might work out for you. Particularly the 1969 Autocar hood. I'm not sure if the 1950 Autocar hood would work out. http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/as3autocarhoodconv1969.html
  19. I used Testors Model Masters Light Gray. I had a friend of mine spray it with his airbrush, & I told him to "clear coat it". Guess i wasn't specific enough. I should have applyed another coat of clear gloss before I added the decals. Oh well, live & learn!
  20. Looks promising!
  21. Sounds interesting. The Revell of Germany Kenworth W900 is a 1972-82 truck. If you need something more modern (like a W900B), Gary Wallace of GW Trucks has a W900B cab kit & a modern dump body. You can contact him at gwtrucks@yahoo.com. The AMT kits are all 1970s vintage trucks.
  22. Looking really nice, Pavel. I like that little frame you have the engine in to work on.
