  1. Personally, I'd go tan & brown (because that's what I did); but it's really up to you.
  2. Yes, I discovers that, too. I'm not sure if it's the axle is too far forward, or the hood is too far back. The front of the hood doesn't line up with the bumper, either. Gives it a litte bit of an under-bite look.
  3. Should be an interesting project. You might consider making sure you have access to the hull so you can add additional ballast if you need to. It might end up being top-heavy once you add the rigging & sails. Good luck, & looking forward to progress.
  4. Thanks, Pavel. I'll check it out.
  5. So, I scored this Italeri IVECO Stralis the other day from Hobby Link, and I got a great deal. It was only $40! Now that I have the kit, can anyone tell me a little bit about this truck? I'm not that familiar with European trucks. I just got it because it looks cool. What year is it? Does anyone know what type of engine is in the kit truck? Inquiring minds want to know! I was thinking of doing in in the Monjean Transporte livery: Maybe Italeri will come out with an IVECO Strator one of these days. Nah!
  6. Police Car Models ( http://www.policecarmodels.com/ ) has beacon lights as well.
  7. Fantastic job. I have a friend that served on the USS Sataroga. Is that the 1/96 Revell USS Constitution? Looks awesome.
  8. Thanks for the link. That really isn't a bad price.
  9. Thanks for the info in the cab. I never really think about Jimmy Flinstone's stuff because most of what I've seen is hotrod stuff. I'll have to check it out. Ken's Kitchen Table Resins offers the Ford 337: http://public.fotki.com/KenK/kitchen_table_resin_kits/ford-big-job-337-v8-/
  10. That looks awesome. How did you do the cab?
  11. Great looking plane. You don't see to much Austro-Hungarian WWI stuff; mostly German. The finish is interesting. I can't decide if it looks like wood or leather.
  12. Fantastic job, Max. The weathering looks great.
  13. Great job on the White Western Star, Casey. I hope mine comes out half as good. Well done!
  14. I think you captured the White-Freightliner fleet look quite well. Great job. With the "mountain" in the background it looks like Colorado or New Mexico.
  15. Well, that looks pretty simple. Thanks for the photos.
  16. This might help a little: http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/scale_auto_enthousiast/sae_2000-2004/sae_2001_12__december/
  17. Nice job so far on the hull planking.
  18. I didn't realize that the front axle didn't steer on this kit. It's an Italeri kit, so I figured it did. How did you do it? Was it a difficult modification?
  19. Hey, Marc! Welcome aboard! Glad you could make it over here. Semper Fi! Go Explorers!
  20. Yea, a little more flat clear probably couldn't hurt. The main problem is I didn't put enough gloss clear on before I applied the decals, so they are applied over flat paint. Not the best situation. Thanks for the compliments.
  21. Well, I finally finished my 1/2500 USS Enterprise. It was an interesting build, and for the most part enjoyable. Here are some photos of the finished product. I think I'll start working on the Enterprise-A next. Live long & prosper.
  22. Looks like a nice cab kit. What year is it? Late 1950s?
