  1. Johnny, That's not my axle. It's Rays. I'll post pics of mine soon.
  2. Casey, I don't know if you've seen this yet, but apparently the DM600 will be availabl from Model King in May 2007. Here's the link to where they are accepting per-orders for $47: http://www.modelroundup.com/comingsoon.html
  3. Ray, Interesting question, how did you build you front axle? I modified the kit axle using the details in Jensen's book.
  4. Very nice. Great detail. Is that the snap kit? I like your owner-operator decals. How do you make them?
  5. Tim, Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try. Do you put the Microscale Decal Film on before or after you respray them with the clear acrylic he suggest you do?
  6. Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it. I think the engine came out quite nice, too. Just followed Ken Smith's article. Wasn't too tough once I figured out what he was talking about. Hopefully the next photos I post of this truck will be the completed model, Winslow stripes & all! Any words of wisdom for working with Jbot decals?
  7. Here are a couple of photos of my Revell Snap Pete 359. I called the photo with the cab & hood a "mock-up" because it will be a pearl white with red, gold & purple Winslow stripes. I'll paint it if it ever warms up & quits raining! The 1/4 Fenders are "chromed" with BMF. Won't do that again! Not anything like rottin1's, but it's mine!
  8. Very professional. Also saw this photo on your Website. What's that green pad on your desk? I also like your display area.
  9. Brian, That is a wicked cool setup. Yes, I lived in MA for a while, too.
  10. What are people using on their work table/desk/etc as the actual work area to save the table top? Know what I'm talking about? I've seen people using some sort of green pad with a grid pattern on it. Where can I get one of those? Hobby shop? Jo-Ann Fabrics?
  11. You might want to check with Tim at All Season Collectable Toys - c/o Timothy Sherman, 6 Lorraine Ave, Binghamton, NY 13905. He might have something. Sorry no Website, email or phone number. Apparently he is currently offering Mack CL700, CH600, CS Midliner, RD600 hood, White 3000 COE, '99 GMC Topkick conversion, International 4700 crewcab and hood. Got this info from http://tahlborn.web.aplus.net/TMC/march07.htm
  12. Love that butterfly hood. Old school for sure!
  13. Very nice. I like it a lot.
  14. Anthony, That stake truck looks great. Did you scratch the body, or is it from the C600 Stake Kit?
  15. Greg, Thanks, your truck was the "model" for my interior. I know it isn't exactly like your truck, but it was inspired by yours. Jim
  16. I've just attached a couple of photos of my completed Peterbilt 359 interior. Take a look. One's a little blurry, but I don't have the best of digital cameras. Trying to go for the Oxblood Red look. Not sure I got it, but I like it. Yes, the blanket on the bunk is Olive Green. When I saw it, it looked too much like my rack at OCS that I couldn't pass it up!
  17. I'm looking to make some tractors out of the Ford Delivery truck, but my spare parts box is non-existant. So I'm appealing to my fellow modelers: does anybody out there have a couple of fifth wheels they're willing to part with? I'll need the plate, the fifth wheel itself, and the little do-hickey it sits on. One or two would be nice, four would be perfect! Thanks in advance! Jim
  18. Very nice. Are you going to shorten the frame? Dumb question, what did you use to chop off the sleeper?
  19. It's been so freekin' cold here in Syracuse, I'm sure Rochester is the same. Where are you painting? I tried the basement, but the paint stinks up the whole area.
  20. Looks awsome! If you didn't know, you'd never guess that it's a snap kit. Great job. Hope mine comes out half as good. Jim
  21. Thanks. Not bad for my first attempt engine detailing. I'm hoping to get some interior shots soon.
  22. Ok, I've finally done something with my Revell snap Pete 359! Here are two (2) photos (a bit blury) of my Caterpillar 3406A that I detailed. I left the fuel & oil lines silver for the photos so you could see them better, but the engine will be painted gloss white, and the transmission semi-gloss black. Currently what is missing are the fuel lines to the tanks, the air lines to the wet tank, and the valve cover breather tube. So it was a lot of work for a snap together kit, but I've never detailed an engine before. Know what? It was a lotof fun, and I learned some new tricks. Cannonozed a few Italian Saints, too! What do you think? 3406A Driver's Side Detail 3406A Passenger's Side Detail
  23. I don't know who "caroljoehammer" is, but he does amazing work! When I fiest saw that Mack show up on the screen, I couldn't figure out how he was going to ship a real Mack tractor from Germany to the US for $25. Then it dawned on me, it's a model stupid! Incredible.
  24. Bobby's 12V71 wasn't offered through STS. He said that he had some, and they were $10 (US). Guess he's got them at the house or something.
  25. Wow! They've got all sorts of stuff don't they. Very cool!
