  1. Great looking Ferrari. Well done.
  2. Nice McLaren.
  3. Great looking Celica.
  4. great looking Thunderbird. 'Shame that Ford canceled production in 2005. Didn't sell well, I guess.
  5. I did that with my 1937 Ford delivery truck: The bottom half is Tamiya Dark Green TS-2 with Tamiya Clear TS-13.
  6. As far as I know, there never has been a P/E set for that kit.
  7. That could work. I also see that Tamiya has several dark greens in their AS line (which are semi-gloss), so I might check them out. Their Dark Green TS-2 is flat. Go figure. I also found that Testors has a Metallic Green (1630T), so that might work, too. They also have a Mystic Emerald, so that might work, too.
  8. And I'm cool with that. ?
  9. Beautiful Ferrari. Very well done.
  10. Kind of seems that it's leaning that way.
  11. Paint does seem to go all over the place with spray cans. Especially if you're using Rust-oleum (assuming you can get it to work) or Krylon.
  12. Nice Chrisler. Well done. Those are some serious mirrors!
  13. I do like using spray cans, and I'm getting the hang of using Tamiya cans, although I do find that they stink to high heavens when used. Must be the lacquer. Tamiya does have a good selection of paints in the TS & AS lines, and as a large corporation can invest in producing spray cans. True, you won't get every color under the rainbow, but there are quite a few. Other manufacturers (MCW, Mig, ICM, etc.) either don't have the finances, the desire, or both to produce spray cans. The biggest drawback (for me anyway) of an airbrush is the set-up, cleaning & maintenance. I'm essentially lazy, and I know I won't take the time to set it up every time I need to use it, and then clean it out completely when I need to change colors. It seems to me that a lot more planning on what has to be panted when has to go into using an airbrush. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some amazing things done with an airbrush, and I think they're great tools; but I have my doubts that I would use it as much as I should if I purchased one. I would like a spray booth, though.
  14. Well, you fought the good fight and came out on top in the end. Very nice-looking Ford. It really looks great all around. Now, is this the car from the comic strip or the movie?

    '78 Corvette

Great looking classic Corvette. Very well done.
  16. This is how I did mine. I'm not saying it's correct, just this is how I did it.
  17. Great weathering. Very well done.
  18. Would anyone happen to have the decal placement guide for the new AMT Dodge 330? I purchased the new decals from AMT for my Lindberg Dodge 330 knowing full well that the decals were different, but the instructions for the AMT Dodge 330 are not on the Round2 Website, nor on Drastic Plastics Fotki site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Great looking Hurricane. Definitely the Unsung Hero of the Battle of Britan. Is the Mk.1 the version with the fixed-pitch wooden propeller?
  20. Cool looking Plymouths. Very well done on both.
  21. Beautiful Trans Am. Very well done.
  22. Mike, I've never hand painted car bodies, just parts. The part I used the MCW Finishes Chrysler Blue on was the engine for my 1978 Dodge D100: Didn't come out too bad in the end, but getting it there was a real struggle. Paint just didn't want to cover. Probably because it's designed to be airbrushed. Steve, I have been considering purchasing an airbrush & paint booth for quite a while now. I should probably just "bite the bullet" and get them.
  23. Very nice truck. Well done.
  24. Great looking Supra. Very well done.
  25. Or OSHA & NIOSH, for that matter. ? Glad you liked the animation, although it does make it look like the crew are sitting behind the Fore od Mount Doom! Same animator, but diesel-electric locomotive (looks like a UP locomotive):
