Very nice! I built the same model about 1000 years ago (actually 30 more or less)! Those were pretty good kits in the day, along with the Monte Carlo SS. I like it!
Which W900L are you talking about? If its the early one, yes P&P resin has one. As far as the modern ones... There is none that I know of, unless you have a source I don't know about. For Peterbilts, everybody and their uncle caters to those.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I just wish Italeri would make more modern trucks or just reissue that Freightliner FLD120 so we could make our conversions!
Better get that dump body down before you get of that street corner... Very nice truck you have there! Quite an unusual subject. Nicely done, i like the ram horns on the hood!
That Transtar brought back some memories! I built one just like that when i was 15. I bought 2 other of those kits some time ago that i haven't gotten to yet. You're right, the Ertl based kits like the Transtar 4300 were some of the nicest fitting and easiest to build, They also give some of the best results at the time. Good job with both of your classic trucks!
That should look pretty good! What's your plan for diesel motivation since you have all that space under the hood to fill? I could easily imagine a nice 12V71... Even with twin turbos!
My question is... Which is going to be the best donor kit for this conversion? The Italeri "Mack" Superliner? Will we need Mack rear axles on this, like the ones in the AMT R685 kit?
