  1. Wow, that's a good price, I got mine for 44.99 at Tower! By the way I just got it...T'DAY!!
  2. Obviously! If you are painting them, apply your masking tape, then draw your curves (with a compass or a circle template...) out on the making tape first. When you're happy with them, cut the tape stripe off from the cab, If you are worried about the needle at the other end of a compass, tape a flat scrap plastic piece over the surface then you can put the needle end on it without sratching the rest of the painted surfaces. My 2 cents.
  3. Nice fenders! Thanks for showing the way you installed them. This is going to look good!
  4. It would be very nice detail work even with today's available materials.
  5. You did a very nice job! One of the better ones I've seen yet. I like the custom touches you brought to it too, the painted fuel tanks, the rear bumper and fenders. Love the colors.
  6. Nice lookin RD! You got it just right good start on that trailer too. While I haven't noticed in the movie and I'll assume the model is correct, why would someone install the fifth wheel so far back? Doesn't it unbalance the load on the rear axles?
  7. You like it? Go for it, there are lots of parts available out there that would help you get very close to this.
  8. Hi Christian, I have seen a lot of pictures of your collection, you have done very good work there! I lke it quite a lot. Tell me, how do you modify your suspensions to be so low? Your J.Bond Kenworth looks great and it sits just right, like the real thing. Bon travail!
  9. Very nice scratchbuilding! Sooooo, when are you making a kit out of it? Looks real good! Nice rig.
  10. Too bad these truck don't have brakes! They really don't!
  11. Would it be wrong to have the Revell instruction booklet from be shown around here? Copyright problems would arise wouldn't they? I think it would be a great help to some Moebius kit owners...
  12. Gee, these news are just as good as the Prostar's! So before long we'll have a full class8 International lineup. The 9900 is one sweet looking machine. I could imagine a 9900 on a Lonestar frame and mechanicals. You're going to be busy with orders from the guys around here Dave...
  13. You had a great deal Tom! Let us know what you're going to do with it!
  14. Very nice job Dave! Which kit do you suggest as a donor kit? My guess would be the Transtar 4300 but what about the set-back axle for this hood?
  15. I think Round 2 won't put out a kit unless it can make a good quality kit(minimal warpage and flash). I think they can pull it off if they modify the cabs mold to include either a brace for the cab bottom or mold the firewall on the cab. They could do the same for the hood. But I'd like to see that truck reissued too. There weren't much wrong with the Transtar II though.
  16. Getting mine from Tower soon... Can't wait!
  17. That's what I meant, sorry! What's fun about this forum is that we can pick up little and bigger tricks we didn't think about. We get to see high quality builds here, like this Lonestar.
  18. You're doing this truck justice Chris, maybe you should give US pointers! Nice paint scheme, plumbing, engine, etc...
  19. You're right, but the AMT cost half what the Italeris go for... Besides, you have to be careful with the separate paneled cab. But they give great results completed.
  20. 1961!? Wow, it's even older than I thought! So its 50th birthday came and went without a peep. So sad.
