  1. It's good to set things straight, good for you.
  2. Tom, you are one thorough and dedicated person! Very nice work.
  3. It looks spot on! My dad had a 74 Malibu Classic, the seat pattern was quite similar to the one you have except the corduroy of the Classic went from one end to the other without vinyl cutouts and were also quite similar to the Monte Carlo's. The dash was the same as on the 73. The door pull was in the middle of the fabric pattern, that fabric had a constant panel width spanning from the front to the rear of the door. The panel had 6 inch squares with a button middle and were separated by a 1 inch wide line. There was a half inch wide stainless steel trim at the top and the bottom of this trim panel. Back to your model, the body looks great too! One thing I liked a lot on that old Malibu was the wide fender flares and you have them spot on! The front and back end look right on. Overall it looks like the real thing, beautiful craftsmanship! This is going to look awesome in SS trim and wide Corvette rally wheels... Plans for a Laguna front end too?
  4. It is a good conversation piece! I like trucks, unfortunately for me and fortunately for everybody else, I don't drive a truck. I'm not too sure about the styling, while it does remind me of older 50's styled trucks, it's a little over the edge even for me. I agree that it would be an evolution of the already very streamlined Cascadia, but even that truck doesn't stir my insides. The prototype does stir me but not in a good way! You know, a prototype is a concept to test all kinds of things like feasability, public opinion, proof of concept. So a lot of the ideas put forth on this truck are going to be used in some new future trucks and some are not and others are going to be offered as options. So I wouldn't worry too much about it. Besides, this type of truck is going to be destined to fleets anyway, right? The Kenworth T600, T2000 and later Volvo VN's were pretty much out of this world when they came out too! Just my 2 cents.
  5. The one I prefered was the 3rd or 4th truck out of the site, a brown and beige KW W900 with what must have been a DD 8V92... Sounded awesome.
  6. Yes they both have them and the ones from Melbourne have the right shape valve covers and correct turbochargers too.
  7. wa To top it all off, I think this truck kit was the only one with the Cummins V903, rare beast indeed.
  8. And the bumper pivots too! I have visions of a white daycab with a milk pickup tanker... That is one nice truck model.
  9. I saw this K100 on tv some time ago and it is one heck of a nice custom! You had to hear this thing going down the road, it looked and sounded like it eats small pickup trucks for lunch! I'm curious of how much this whole project actually cost... But for a Revell K100 based model, this truck is a really good subject.
  10. You should check in your own backyard, Jake. Have a look at what Auslowe www.auslowe.com has. They have trailer kits in various length in 1:24 & 1:25 scale and dollies also. There is another kit supplier in Australia: Melbourne Model Truck Accessories http://www.freewebs.com/mmtaer/ They have many type of trailers kits too.
  11. Wellllll... I know of a famous hotrod Peterbilt with a12V71... So that excuse just went out the proverbial window!! Haha! Hey do what pleases your soul man, but go as crazy on that engine as the remainder of that concept! Like tooltas said, an Allison V12 would be pretty awesome too, I can already hear the sound of that!
  12. Nice work! Lots of eye candy going on here, first it's a K100 built off a W900, the big 6 yellow engine, the curtains, exhaust stacks. Looks good. BTW, would you happen to know what year your dad's picture was taken? It's interesting to notice some details on his truck such as the front bumper, the door handles, the grab handles.
  13. So now, I know how it's called! Thanks for confirming Jim.
  14. Now install a 24V71 under that hood! Stick 3 8V71 together instead of 2 V12s!! Might as well get real crazy. Why not?
  15. Ok guys, excuse my ignorance... What is this, the white domed puck, high mounted behind the cab?
  16. Jarda, I'm amazed at your wiring and plumbing work. I thought of doing it to my own 379, I drilled holes in the brake air chambers, in the air tanks... And just let go, I don't know where to route all these wires! Thanks to your pictures, they are going to help a lot. I have seen some diagrams for air brakes on the net, but I don't get it. It's surely not that difficult. Anyway, I'm going to take a movie and tons of pictures of real trucks for next time I build. Thanks for your "in progress" pictures man! I like your front axle tie rod! Nice work.
  17. Oh yes! And it looks SPOT-ON! Very nice. It's gonna look great in any color, even brown or beige! OOooo, brown AND beige!
  18. Well I'll be... When you squint... It does look like it doesn't it?
  19. Now for a little entertainment: [media=] Man those were nice...
  20. So you hate aero trucks, don't like the rounded spoilers, side skirts, hidden fuel tanks and air filters? I hate to say this to you, but you ain't seen nothin' yet. See what's coming up, watch this: [media=]
  21. I wouldn't change a thing! Even if it has a Kenworth paint scheme! LOL! Very nice truck, I like your Detroit Diesel!
  22. I like that shade of yeller! It's going to look good with the flat black. I like the dashboard too with the yellow accents. You've given me some ideas for mine... Can't wait to see what you're going to do to the grill! This is shaping up to be a nice HotRod!
  23. With the quality Round II puts into these old kits, it would be worth it. And Bill, you did a tremendous job with this old KW. Very nice!
  24. The second bumper is better IMHO, it is another part that is unique to KW. Lookin better and better!
  25. Oh yes, Dave M. I hope you guys don't mind I put a picture from the Moebius Facebook page... So here it is again! Notice the front headlights are now defined, the grill is better defined too. Lookin' real good, can't wait!
