  1. I think what HL did is create a few different price tiers for the model kits , of course I am just guessing, but there is no way that the Torino kit has a $30 MSRP , the recent new NASCAR kits MSRP is $28, so figure MSRP is low $20's for it.
  2. Hobby Lobby has adjusted their pricing by about 40% give or take to cover the use of the their 40% off coupon.
  3. Brad K's Miller Lite Ford, this one was done using a combo of decal sheets, from Powerslide the 2015 Miller Lite sheet, my own decals for the 2017 decals, and decals from various supplement decal sheets from Powerslide. Yes, the blue is not the correct dark shade, I was going to paint a more correct darker shade , but really didnt not want to mask allover again , I just got lazy, what can I say eh The red stripe is paint, the gold is decal. Lowered the ride height, added the splitter, jack bolts, bumper cam pod, switched out the seat and some other small detail things.
  4. Deals from Stoney Custom's, supplement decals from Powerslide, added the splitter, jack bolts, bumper cam pod lowered the ride height, swaped out the drivers seat , Matte Black from Tamiya and coat of dullcoat
  5. I have not done a lot, starting with the floor/frame, using the .80 sheets, got them cut, now, I wont be going the full scale 53 ft, its going to be closer to 51 scale feet, it is going to be 24 inch's long, there are several reason why as to why I am not going to 53 ft. Cutouts for spread axle's , the rear part of the trailer And the front section, the steps are not final production steps, just made those as an aide. I need to make a trip to the LHS to get another I-Beam , so I am probably not going to make any progress till that point.
  6. So what I am building?( Current stock at Featherlite Trailers) 2018 model 1075 transporter Now, this will be number 6 overall that I have built, you dont want to see the first four, but here are the last two that I have built. This was built in 2013 And this one was done in 2015 Just like the last two , will be using floor plans from Featherlite , and I will be scaling down the numbers,  I wont doing this as a 53 ft, it will be closer to 51 ft, or 24 inches long, that is so it matches the last one, as that one is 24 inches long as well.  And here is what I call the evergreen trailer kit, various sizes of sheet plastic/ and other shapes, the only kit part that I will be using will be for the wheel's and tires, everything else I will make.
  7. I like it, good job
  8. I as well do that a lot, glove on the left hand, right hand is bare and holding the painting device. But really, I use gloves pretty much all the time, its not that much of an expense to be honest, I get my box of 100 latex gloves from WalMart that are located in the hardware section( not the ones from the medical section) I think box is $9, they are cheap , tear/rip apart easy, but that is ok, I am not using them at the med level. If you really want to be cheapskate, you can buy the dish washing gloves, the ones that you can reuse, you can buy the WalMart brand for like $1.
  9. After adding the 8.8% sales tax, it would cost me $19.57.
  10. Very nice Paul
  11. Looks like you did a real nice job
  12. Progress has been made , so lets get to it painted the red strip, gold is the decal Decals came in From Stoney Powerslide Since the Miller sheet is for 2015, I made a supplement decal sheet Decals on done on the 41, pretty sure I am going to do a dullcoat next And started working on the decals on the 21
  13. Its kind of hard to care about the point of this thread looking at the background and seeing the tool/workbench set up you have, how much did that cost you is what I am really curious about.
  14. You dont have to look very far, its getting reissued in Nov http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10299865
  15. I agree
  16. That part they dont seem to care about as much as what you pointed out about paying for items and then returning them, I think you are better off canceling that order before they full-fill it, dont wait till after , like you said, they will only put up with that a few times.
  17. Left is the current kit's tire, middle is the snap tire , and right is the 90's tire.
  18. LOL um what? The Private Warehouse is for kits that you have paid for that have come into stock, you can NOT use it for kits that are not in stock and are on pre order or back order, that is what the Open Orders are for.
  19. I had no idea how badly I wanted a model kit of the Toyota Probox that just three/four days, I had no idea existed , but , that Civic kit, yeah, looking forward to that one too.
  20. This, its pretty darn cool.
  21. Simple, we , the USA is not their target market, so they are not going to go out of their way and tool LHD parts for kits that they may only sell a small handful of in the USA. They are getting better at including LHD parts for cars that are sold here. Dont get me wrong, it would be great if every kit had that option if the subject was sold here, dont get me wrong.
  22. Some paint was applied, Tamiya white and Tamiya Bright Red, I used Tamiya X4 Blue on the white duce , but thinking its not dark enough, thinking about doing another coat to see if I can get it darken up some, applied it over a grey primer.
  23. 100% do I agree with you.
