For what the kit is, nothing is wrong with them, I chose to use the previous tires/wheels as the kits wheels are molded in black and I just wanted to make it easier painting the red/white wheels over white plastic. The older tires have molded on tire detailing as well that new kit tires do not. If the wheels were black on real ones, I would of just gone ahead and used the kit tires/wheels. -
Here we have a pair of the new NASCAR kits, pretty much built from the box , using the craptistic chassis, I used wheels/tires/wheelbacks from Revell's previous NASCAR kits, ride height was lowered on both, tire decals are from Mikes Decals and Powerslide decals, chassis were painted using SEM/Promax Chassis Gray. I added the clear shark fins, bumper camera pod, painted the spoilers the correct colors( ok, close anyways). The Miller Ford was done for the 2016 year, decals again are from Powerslide.

Least you are smart enough to put gloves on, you can see plenty of people posting the various Facebook model groups and their fingers have about the same amount of paint on them as whatever it is they just painted

You are correct, it does leave that behind, but to be honest, does not bother me, I just paint right over it and have zero issues with doing so I have no issues with stripping chrome from the Japanese companys like Aoshima, sometimes it make take a few days, but it does strip it, I think you are having issues because it 20 years old, fresh stuff takes it right off. One thing that needs repeating is there are two different bottles, one is purple, one is white, the white bottle is the knock off brand and in my past experience not as strong, you want to to use the purple bottle.

Who did you buy the decal sheet from ? -
Little bit of info , for those that are going to want a more detailed build, the bodies fit on the Monte Carlo kits chassis, the 2003-2006 kits , you will need to either trim down , or remove the two rear screw tubes that are attached on the bottom side of the deck lid. Its the same chassis. I havent checked yet, but I am sure the body will fit the 2005 Tarsus chassis as well.

Lets take a look at the new NASCAR kits from Revell Up first, looking at bodies , there are mold lines that will need to be took care of, but that is going to require to repaint. And Joey's #22 interior /chassis, is not the current COT style chassis, it is from the last NASCAR kits Revell did. The exhasut, I want to point out that this is also not accurate, when NASCAR went to the COT, the exhaust exits on the right side

I for the most part have no issues stripping Japanese chrome, my question, are you use the off brand ? as its not as strong , I was for long time using the off the brand and had the same issues with it not stripping Japanese chrome But here is a pro tip , if need to strip some chrome, and dont want to wait, use bleach, it will and I am not kidding, remove the chrome right in front of your eyes, we are talking matter of minutes.

Revell and West Coast Customs

That started out as a 4dr . -
Seeing the kit now, has made want to get it more, I missed out on pre ordering it from Hobby Search, I have no issues with ordering it direct from Heller, I am stuck with the Mehari pre order ( cant cancel it) so I need to find another kit to spread out the shipping as James mentioned, I do sort of want their version of the 4L , so I guess I could order that one
