  1. Kind of odd that the March swap meet got pushed back a week a before DSC, hmm
  2. If its a kit that I am really interested in, I will just use their email notification when it comes in stock, that way, eliminates having to chase their release dates.
  3. The "sticker" in the kit is way undersized, I used an aftermarket decal set for the Miller car, and the sheet contains the correct sized green ring , I do believe you can buy a sheet of just the rings.
  4. A clock is always right two times a day, so can Tower I was just messing with him, I really have no idea how right or close Tower is with its release dates, but they seem for the most part to be correct with their release dates, but of course, your mileage may vary.
  5. Actually, they were right with the NASCAR kits, well, the second or third time they updated them
  6. "Game Changing" Some builders like to throw this one around too much when they still have yet to get the basic's of clean building down "Inspired By" Used to defend themselves when they are building a replica of a subject that is not being built anywhere near the subject "I build For Myself" I think we all know how that one is used. "Scratch-Built" , one of the most overused phrases when people modify parts and like to say "scratch - built" , or clearly did no such thing as scratch building anything
  7. You know, if you would of mentioned plugging it in last year, that would of been very helpful
  8. Ahhh
  9. That is what I learned today.
  10. I have no idea either what his thread is about.
  11. AZ DJ Service will be deploying an all new PA system this year for the announcements and awards presentation, there wont be a repeat of last year.
  12. Use Tamiya masking tape, they will help with your masking tape issues.
  13. Thank you guys Yes, I did paint the number #2, I used Tamiya TS26 Pure White
  14. Thank you everyone
  15. The link says late July.
  16. Normal Juke, yeah , not so much, but this one, oh yeah The Juke R, Nissan took the guts from their R35 GTR and shoved into the Juke
  17. Ford Tempo, biggest sorriest piece of junk ever built ( ok, not really, but you feel that way after being lucky enough own one)
  18. Its not because of math, its because of fake ID's, while its can be, or used to be easy to make a fake ID, most of them dont have the ability to do the bar codes or the magnetic strip, they would use real ID cars, but with fake info ( there are/were so many ways to do fake ID's,) on the face, but the bar code or magnetic strip would still contain the legal age , so that is one reason why the went to scanning or sliding it. Again, this is all based on the time that I had to worry about carding people( 2008-2010) And yes, is also another way for you to CYA and is proof that you did in fact card .
  19. States love to do stings( AZ does) to see if they are in fact carding , and I know in AZ, if you fail to card someone that is under age, it was a $1k fine, they charged you with a misdemeanor and you lose your job , I dont recall what happens when you fail the stings, but it was just almost as bad, its been awhile since I last had to worry about carding people. And as its already been mentioned, each company has their own policy's on carding, and those ages to card are higher than 25, I know some go has high as 45 if I am recalling correctly, so yes, while it may be silly to card someone that is clearly north of being in their 20's, they are just doing their job, you know, that thing that pays their bills.
  20. We have that law here too , but most of the LHS dont have the spray paints locked up, although couple do have the Tamiya spray paints locked up.
  21. This right here.
  22. This one took two kits to finish, and these are not easy kits to find a reasonable prices, long story short, I messed up with the decals , the second kit decals were showing their age, and did not react well to setting solution, so there are wrinkles in them. I am just happy to be able to put this one behind now.
  23. Tamiya Nissan R34 GTR Spec V , done as the Nür Spec II version and came in Millenium Jade. I used Scale Finished Millenium Jade , and Scale Finishes 2k clear.
