  1. While trying to find any photos of Revell at Toledo, I came arrcoss this, which confirms that Revell is planning on doing Jimmie Johnson and Dale Jr.s Chevys in 2016, and that Revell and NASCAR have a three deal , and they will be doing full detail glue kits. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/revell-inks-new-3-year-licensing-agreement-with-nascar-team-properties-for-scale-models-300158145.html
  2. I heard that Revell was a no show, and from the photos that I can find from it, none show Revell, Round2 and Moebius are seen though, anyways, any photos of it ?
  3. This is the one part that I dont agree with, and bugs me to no end( this isnt aimed at you), but so many people talk about the hobby here in the US, and some how, its going to effect the hobby as a whole world wide. Its my opinion that I dont see that happening, the hobby can die here, but that doesnt mean its going to kill the hobby off for the rest of the world. And you have to keep in mind that there is an entire generation behind the baby boomers building models (me), so thats gonna keep it going for a long while now. Which does bring up a interesting point, I would like to see what age groups around the world make up the , to keep it simple, building automotive related kits.
  4. Kind of Ironic with new NASCAR kits coming, the NASCAR forum crashes.
  5. Model kits would have had to gone away in-order for them to be making a comeback, I would think. I personally feel with a few exceptions, this is a great time for the hobby and feel its going to keep getting better.
  6. One of these days, I am going to get me some nail boards , or files, it be a lot cheaper over the long run vs using sand paper
  7. I dont see any one in this thread saying point blank that the builder should not get paid for their time and skill.
  8. Painting stand for sparying bodies
  9. Thats a lot money................................................................
  10. Thanks guys This is a aftermarket sheet by Auto Colour Decals http://www.auto-colour.com/
  11. While I cant really thank them about the kits , I will thank them for the excellent service Ed and Tower Hobbies gave me over the wrong parts in the Golf kits.
  12. Right, I understand that, I was just saying I believe mine had one, but who knows if I am telling the truth, I can barely remember last month, let alone, 1998/99
  13. While its been a long time, and I dont have any pics, but I do recall, or seem to recall my 84 having a window brake light, now , dont take that as me disagreeing with you.
  14. Looks good
  15. Why dont you just buy it from Japan direct, and just cut out the middle man ?
  16. Nice clean work, what part of AZ do you reside in?
  17. Bill, I am going to offer one more suggestion, since you are starting off with using a A/B, and its what I used, well not at first, but after a short time , I started off using a crudtastic A/B, I moved up( not by much) and got a $20 Harbor Freight double action brush and one of their compressors, it was combo deal for like $90. The compressor is tank less but it still works just fine, and that $20 A/B, is darn near bullet proof. I have had it for three years now, and not once has it broke, now, compare that to the Paasche VL A/B I have had for a year now, the hose broke, one of the air caps broke, it constantly just does not want to work, I feel that I have spent more time trying to get the thing to work than actually using it. The reason why I am suggesting it is because out of the box, its very easy to use, I was a complete noob when I started using a A/B, and that cheap $20 worked just fine. Of course, after you get used to using A/B, by all means , move up to something better. Brush by itself http://www.harborfreight.com/34-oz-deluxe-airbrush-kit-69492.html Air brush and compressor http://www.harborfreight.com/15-hp-58-psi-oilless-airbrush-compressor-kit-60328.html
  18. I have had it cracked putting it on paint that had been cured for over a year to one week, applying via foam brush and A/B. I do like how it makes clear parts look though.
  19. Thank for you the kind words gentlemen, I really enjoyed building it, minus the decal issue, fun kit.
