Ive been waiting for HLJ to stock this one, finally just canceled my pre order for it, you are the second person that I have seen get this kit

Toyota Land Cruiser 80 with options part kit, straight OOB, Tamiya Mica Red for the paint , like usual , its of Tamyia like quality other than the ill fitting molded in clear hood.

I am going to be doing a whats in the box video , and doing a still image review as well

Got a couple of kits today

The rear section , chrome vinyl applied , BMF on the lower I have no idea what to call it diamond plate And the rear sliding doors, now, I sort screwed myself on them, when I made the rear section that doors are on, I made the gap for the doors really tight, so I was not able to make the doors look they do on the real trailers, I was going to add strip plastic on the outer edge to make a frame, and I was going to add a window, but there would made them way to thick and would not allow them to slide for the open position And the generator compartment

Havent updated in while but still have been working on it slowly , at this point, I am almost finished , but for now, will post some of the photos that I have took so far, it has been painted(boring white). a look at the blurry steps Sat dish made, Front section A/C units made, sat dish is sitting on top of the gen compartment And in the ready to receive a signal position And been working on the viewing platform railings, I still need to cut the sheet plastic for the rest of the sides.

You have to keep in mind that Hobby Lobby and Michaels are both craft stores, and many people like to make stuff for the holidays( Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), so they stock the stuff early, and I am sure it has more to do about sales then anything else, but really, what is the big deal if those two stores are already selling Christmas stuff, its a part of what they do , Michaels has their Christmas stuff out too. Now, I will join in line when WalMart/Target starts selling Christmas stuff very soon.

So, you are saying the kits are of Tamiya like quality ?, I am very happy these kits are getting reissued, I was a young teen I think when they were first issued , and didnt want to pay the going rate for them currently when you could find one. I hoping the 96 versions get a reissue too, there are few liverys I would like to do that are for the 96's .
