This update is going to cover the liftgate and the progress of the engine, going to start with the engine And now to turn our attention to the liftgate starting with a piece of .60 sheet plastic the uprights( I am not sure what the official word is for them), is what the gate is going to attach to, used some sprue, drilled a hole through them for the retaining rod to go through also need to build the gate extender , starting with a piece of Plastruct diamond plate , and a piece of .30 sheet , the .30 is to give the diamond plate some extra strength. using square tube, not sure the size, drilled holes for the rods Holes drilled for the retaining pins and a completed extender attached , in the extended position and in the non extended position And that concludes this update , thanks for watching

  9. I did not, I used Evergreen sheet plastic and Plastistruct I Beams to make the floor/frame.
  10. You are right JT, it is very hard to get the curved front end to be the same on both sides , I will be honest, the front is not perfect, but it will do.

Time for a little up date, lets start with the LoneStar, getting the frame together painted And on to the trailer, now its looking like a trailer And here is how I did the track system, starting with I think it was 294 L Channel from Evergreen After some gluing, it looks this And you can see how the I-Beam will sit And, started working on the roof , dont mind all the masking tape .

  15. Its getting better, starting like it now that I have got used to it a little bit.
  16. Its still gonna have chrome, just stripping the chrome on most of the parts that are going to be hidden after its finished.
  17. Decided to start on the Lonestar, so far Getting the cab ready for some primer And removed the chrome from a lot of parts that are not really chromed on the 1:1 The Fuel tanks will done in polished aluminum and most of the parts that I stripped the chrome on will be done in aluminum
  18. You cant, only mods or admin can do that.
  19. Yes they can , you just have to make sure whatever method you are using to hold the gate up(chain/fabric rope) is secure and strong enough to support the weight.
  20. Save your self a lot of extra work and just use BMF, you can get a sheet of it for less than $10 shipped to your door.
