  1. Oh that is interesting, I did not know that. That is my "what I learned today"
  2. Yes, you are ripping the audio track from the video, I am not going to lie, I use a similar site , or maybe its the same site that Austin is talking about. You are just downloading the audio track. Edit I should add that it does not always work, at least with the one that I use, there some videos that the site can not rip the audio tracks from, as the up-loader of the video enabled something that blocks it Edit2 There are also a handful of add-ons, or extensions for web browsers, in my case, FireFox, that will enable you to download the audio tracks as well.
  3. I remember wanting to try and make a stock version of that Lincoln drag kit
  4. I like it, just because everyone else is going to hate it
  5. I know, how dare someone put ads up so you can listen to music for free. In all seriousness, online ads have gotten out of hand almost, I have pretty much given up on watching video clips , for that very reason, and Youtube is worse, its nothing more then people begging for "likes" and begging for you to subscribe to them.
  6. Yes, anything other than hobby paint can craze the poop out of the plastic , you have be careful
  7. Some of us that have been replying in this thread know for fact it is the 97 , same as the lindberg, this info came straight from Ed himself.
  8. why would you have to pay $90 for the Tamiya version? bought mine direct from Japan and paid $40 for it, and maybe $20 for the P/E set and Carbon decal sheet For a total of $65.47 as of the current exchange rate, you can buy a Tamiya La Ferrari, P/E set, Carbon decal sheet, and shipping. Tamiya La Ferrari Kit 4000Y or $38.43 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM24333 Tamiya Photo Etch Set ,880Y or $8.46 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM12654 Tamiya Carbon Decal Sheet , 560Y or $5.38 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM12656 Or if you just want the kit, you are looking at anywhere from $51 to $60 depending on what of one of four shipping methods you choose.
  9. Yes, but it just depends on the kits, and if the tooling is still around, your best bet is to check Ebay, a lot of hard kits can be found on Ebay at times.
  10. I agree Rob, it does not make sense, but I think the argument that was made is that "they are kids, they wont know better or care", which , I am sure in some ways, that is correct , but this is where Revell is failing if you will, they could of crossed age grouped this kit, for both kids and adult PPV builders if they were to have done either a 1999-2011 body style Vic, or the new Interceptor. And lets say they did the Interceptor, they could do a stock version under the Tarsus name plate.
  11. I have it on very good authority from someone that it is in fact a new tooled Crown Vic kit , it is going to be on the lines of the 2015 Mustang kit, aimed at the kids.
  12. Yes, if you buy direct from Japan, between $25-28 US depending on who you buy from
  13. put me down for all of them please , some of us were discussing what subject is going to be next year from Aoshima, and it very well could be the Hurrican, I see a lot of interest as well for the Huayra on other forums, but something tells me we wont see it, but I dont know very much
  14. Approval from who?, meaning from within Revell or GM?
  15. Agree with Frank, I am pretty sure as well that Aoshima does not have licensing for either Ferrari or Porsche , so you can bet that we will see another Lambo , and infact, Aoshima has posted a picture of it of their next super car that James mentioned. If there are going to be any new Ferrari's or Porsche's coming , it will be from either Fujimi or Tamiya.
  16. Yeah , I know, I am looking forward to this one, and you are right.
  17. The only actual new tooled kit as of right now is the Nissan Sunny from Hasegawa, everything else is all reissues or modified reissues , Aoshima and Tamiya, Fujimi have not announced any new tools yet. But none of the kits have anything to do with2015, these are all kits for the rest of 2014. Better yet, check out the Stash Report Video from my good friend James
  18. Hasegawa announced for a Nov release the Nissan Sunny Truck GB121 Long Body, price is 2720Y from Hobby Search, or 2560 from HLJ, pre orders are open. Been meaning to update with more pictures
  19. Posted on Their Facebook page This Year's Sale! 26 August 2014 at 08:37 Just a quick note concerning the sale we just ran. Still trying to dig our way out of it all, but the largest thing that's holding us up is the shipping calculations. With the sale, we typically send out an email stating that there is no free shipping when we discount so heavily for the one day. Our shopping cart is a very rough calculation at best, and is subject to change depending on actual weight and how many boxes your order may take. We're not Amazon. Outside of this one day, we average way less than one order per day so we cannot invest in a more precise shopping cart for one day's sales. We're not in the retail business! I mistakenly forgot to list this fact on the page here that there is no free shipping as usual over $100 through the site. I just assumed everyone got the email. Most have been fine with this, but some have not, and all I can do is apologize to those that have an issue with it. If 50% off isn't enough, I'm sorry! And of course those whose orders have been delayed due to the huge amount of calls and emails that have put us behind in shipping deserve an apology as well. Next year, if we decide to do this again, we'll try to have a better system in place to speed it along, maybe add a person to pack some shipments. But I do have some common sense tips for some of you. If you place and order for one item over $100, and it is discounted to under $100, that doesn't make it a $100 order even if the ORIGINAL price was over the mark. Again, this is where no free shipping comes into play. Also, email is always best. We have one phone line. We have one customer service person (Mace, if you don't know him). He can't process anything if he is overwhelmed Monday morning with phone calls about when your order will ship. Just too many variables for him to guess! We have tried to do something for the customers out there that will maybe make them smile. Hopefully you're one of them! If this turns into a nightmare every year, we just can't continue to do it as it does disrupt our main business which is sales to distributors. It's nice when we can give back to the fans that have supported us, but at some point there's only so much that can be done with the limited staff we have. And sorry, we won't add employees or budget to discount for one day, that doesn't make sense! And of course apologies for this long winded note! For some reason, Facebook won't let me make paragraphs, so it looks like one crazy long mess! Thanks, Frank
  20. Its a Nissan Skyline GTR 2000 What kit did you use ?
  21. I have to say, better than I was expecting, I see this as Revells way to compete if you will with Round2's Show Room Series, I wonder what stripping method will work with the paint, and does sort suck that there are no decals.
  22. So let me get this straight, first people whine and cry about how much kits cost, but then, whine and cry when someone sells kits cheap and is destroying the market ?
  23. Doing a quick mock up, and you can see, the ride height is a little bit high And after a little bit of work, I think I am going to try and bring it down just little bit more And I think its about ready for some paint and some paint, Tamiya TS-38 Gunmetal
  24. They are, I like to just go and walk around and take a look at everything, its been awhile for me too , but same here, most of the HDMI cables I have bought have been online as well
