  1. I am happy they included the flag.
  2. I know right!!!!, how dare I take someone for their word that has spoken to Ed. Just because I have is email, does not mean I am going to abuse it and bother him with every little thing.
  3. Maybe I will email Ed and see what he says.
  4. Agreed and agreed. I wonder what the added tcost is for window masks are?, and is it something that we can say, persuade Round2/Revell into doing ?
  5. When did Revell stop doing catalog's ? I kind of agree with Rob, I was sent a 2014 catalog from Aoshima , was unaware they were doing them.
  6. Going by your logic, Moebius should give away some of their kits?, same with Revell too?, and any other company that gets things wrong? Or is this because Chinese?
  7. Its kind of funny you posted this thread, someone posted a question about this on Model car group on Face Book , its the timing.
  8. Prices reflect the current exchange rate , but as you can see, you are not really paying that much more for their pre painted kits as you would for a Revell full detail glue kit. To be 100% fair, I did build one of the Pre Painted Toyota Crown Japan Patrol car kits, and it did have mold and seems lines. The last few pre painted kits from Aoshima were, these are just a few 2012 Nissan GTR R35 full detail w/engine $28 Nissan Silvia S13 $30 Not yet released Toyota 86 not sure if it will have the engine $27 Toyota Crown Japan Police kits , no engine, but has working suspension $28 Nissan R34 GTR simple kit $26 Lancer Evo X no engine, but nicely detailed $26
  9. I wonder if the purple cleaner would/will work better for stripping the paint?
  10. I talked with the store manager for one of the locations on my side of town , and asked them about the chances of them carrying a certain color of paint, I was told that all the ordering is done for every store, so he could request it, but every-store would have to sell it too. So what I am saying is if one store doesn't have it, I dont think any other locations would have it as well. But things could have changed and each store can order things independently of each other . Or he could of be BS'ing me too
  11. We are playing a game of he said, he said, like I said, I have no reason to make this up, and I have gotten the same info from a few other people as well, take that for what its worth. Its very possible that I took what I heard and put my own spin on it as well, but what I did seem to understand is online to them is not a valuable source of information when it comes to their products, and how people feel about them. Again, I just heard online, does that mean both forums and their FB page?, or just forums, I dont know. I have no doubts that they read this forum and Scale Auto's forum, I think thats a given, but how much of what they read do they care about?, is it important to them whats being said?. Again, what I have heard is its not. I would hope that is not true, I would hope they would care about what is being said on here or other locals online.
  12. Reading it, and listening are two different things, "your" friend Frank, told me that he talk to Ed as well, and Ed told him they do not take anything said on forums or Facebook into consideration. Just posting what I have been told from somewhat reliable sources, and I figured that with Frank being your friend, it might be reliable. Tom, I did not pull what I said out of my rear end, and I never said they dont pay attention to us, I said they do not listen, or take what is said online into consideration, there is a big difference, I have heard from many different sources that I deem very reliable, and I am not just talking about the person I named aboved, that they do not listen to what is said online. Sure, I agree, we are the 1% of builders, I tend to think its a little bit bigger number than that, but we are a small majority of the builders, so that is understandable, but what about Facebook?, I think a good portion of the builders on FaceBook, that would be a good place to listen, but again, my understanding is they ignore that too. Revell needs to have a little bit more interaction with the builders, they have a FaceBook page, maybe they should use it more and actually interact with the people. You mention the shows, again, shows make up a very small number of us, not the majority of builders, so I find it odd that they interact at shows, but dont online, but consider online the smallest portion, which that is just frankly, stupid , pretty much every one uses the internet, forums are dying, FaceBook is where a lot of the builders are at, both us and the casual weekend builder. Again, I am not just making this up, I have no reason too, and if I am wrong, then I am wrong, so be it, and that means that the people that said this are incorrect, but some of them have a very close relationship with him, so again, who do I believe ?
  13. According to Ed, Revell does not pay any attention to what is said online, which is kind of dumbfounding really, he said something to lines of, it doesnt matter what they think or say. But there is one thing you are forgetting, we our not Revell's customers, the distributors are the customers.
  14. There is a very simple solution, its called Ad Blocker Plus, and its free, you can take care of about 99% of all those pesky ads that are irking you. https://adblockplus.org
  15. I disagree, my "store bought" one works just fine, is it perfect?, no, but it does what I need it too , and it was so far, worth the money.
  16. The Dart is also Assembled in China and sold there as the Viaggio
  17. Its going to be long time before any of us need to worry about it IMHO The infrastructure needed for 100% electric cars isnt even in place yet. We are going to see all cars become hybirds before all cars are replaced with by electric cars
  18. Please show me in this thread where anything negative or bashing of Hobby Lobby took place
  19. Orginal Dodge Dart, cheap basic transportaion New 2013 Dodge Dart, cheap basic transportaion Seems to me the new "Dart" is closer to the old "Dart" than the new "Charger" was to the original. Just remember, the new "Dart" is a cut up Alfa , the Dart is built on a slightly enlarged Fiat Compact Platform , it shares the same Platform that the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
  20. Not really, took about 30 seconds to find it http://www.hulu.com/tv/genres/classics
  21. Thats is nice
  22. Really, last time I tried to strip a diecast, purple pond really did not work, I later found out that aircraft stripper is whats best for diecast paint.
