Seats look good, what did you use on the seat back?, I am having cant make up mind on what I want to do with mine, like interior color, if I want to get some different wheels for it.

I have thought about getting that Z8 kit, but heard its not a great kit, maybe you will build it in the CBP so I can see it , I have always like the Stealth, the AMT stealth kits are pretty decent as well. Here is what I got today, Revell C6 R vette, I knew it was a curbside, but wow, what a waste of a kit for the most part, glad I only paid $14.99 for it. Oh well, still going to build it, hoping to have done for this weekends 24 hour Le Mans race.

Great job -
The wheels look good, you did a good job on them, doing some rain pics would be pretty cool, you dont see to many weather pics of models to often I have a few ideas, one is I might try and see it will wash off, if not, then after I get the black on, I will then do one more white coat, of course letting it cure long enough And the wining kit is, the Jag, I posted a poll on another site, and the Jag and the 240 Z were tied, but with the votes for it in here, makes it the winner. I will be starting it soon.

Shortbed to longbed how to
martinfan5 replied to gautreau's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
With out knowing what truck bed you want to lengthen, you need to extend the bed in the area from the front of the bed to front of the wheel well -
My first of many trips to Michaels using there 50% of coupon, I built this kit I want to say almost two years ago, and its a total glue bomb, so this to replace it.

How important are panel lines to you?
martinfan5 replied to edward smith's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
To be honest, panel lines are pretty much not important at all, after reading this thread, I do want to learn how to make them look better, but I dont build for contest's, the closet I come to that is for the monthly theme builds for the club. I will how ever deepen them, that alone makes a big a difference by itself -
Looking good Mike, great job so far, I feel the same way as you do about BMF, but I still suck at doing it

I had a best offer work for me last week, seller had a revell c6-r vette listed for $35 BIN free shipping, kit was missing the tires, I offered $12, that was declined, I came back with $14.99, got it. -
I think what I am going to do is after I get the black on, I am going to do one more coat of white. I picked myself up a 458 kit to replace my glue bomb one, I wont say how my much I paid for at Michaels today , I wont be doing the build in here since Lawrence is doing his. Lawrence , sorry to hear the 512 is giving you problems, it must be a Ferrari thing, I have problems with all Ferrari kits and getting the chassis and bodys to fit right

So I have got the red back on the R34 , but of course, I can not win, I had great luck with the masking, only a few very small areas did I have bleed thru, but I guess waiting a week wasnt long enough, as the white now has residue from the masking.

martinfan5 replied to Fat Brian's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Intl shipping sucks for everyone, I passed up many kits that I want because the shipping to the states from the seller location was two to three times the price of the kit. Shipping from the UK to the USA is very high, same with shipping from AUS-USA or vise versa, then you have to deal with exchange rates. So those are two country's I wont buy from, just the cost is to high. Well I do buy my NASCAR decals from a guy from Australia , but shippings is only a few dollars You can always tell the sellers that are out to make money, I find it funny how one seller will charge say $8 to ship a kit, then a different seller is charging $15 to ship the same kit . -

Sniping wont make you pay more then you want, you put in your max bid, it works the same as if your were bidding on the site its self, so you wont spend anymore money then you want, I would use it more, but I can only seem find the sites that only give you 5 free snipes, then you gotta pay to play -

Is that from the kits you bought that you dont want your wife to know how much you spent ?
