What is your eBay strategy?
martinfan5 replied to Fat Brian's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree, but everyone's idea of a deal is different And let me add one more thing, shipping also plays a big factor as well, there are many times, before I bid, I am on the calculator crunching numbers to see how much I could end up spending, I dont look at the price of the kits, I look at the total cost before I start bidding. -
What is your eBay strategy?
martinfan5 replied to Fat Brian's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Find the lowest BIN listing for the kits I want, I dont really deal with bidding, but when I do, if I do bid before the end of the auction, I will make the max bid the most I am wanting to spend, and let be, if I win, great, lose , no biggie, that way I wont get caught up in a bidding war. I have also signed up to use the snipping sites, but have not used it yet. Sometimes, if I am bidding on a kit, and I get out bidded, I will look and see if the same kit is listed, and what the listings are, then match my bids to those other listings Example, say I am bidding on a kit, and lets say there are 6 of the same kits listed, I will see what the highest listing for said kit, and make my max bid , either right at, or a dollar or two less, I have won a few doing that. Does it means it work, oh heck, I have no idea -
Casey, nice kits you got there, now the question is, did you get those from certain site, that certain seller thinks he is selling gold plated kits and parts?

"Holy Grail" Models?
martinfan5 replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well Dan, it must be priceless if you dont want to sell, so thats what its wroth -
I think you meant Steve Steve, the XS wheels are nice, I still prefer Fujimi or aoshima wheels, but these fill that void for when I dont want to spend the extra for them, and at $4.00 a pop, I am going to start stocking on them while I can Now if I can just remember what builds I wanted to put the wheels on that would be great

The paints I got from the LHS, and the XS tunning wheels I got off of ebay, for both sets of wheels it was $12.50 with shipping, I really like these wheels, and the brakes that come with them are nice as well. I still would rather get Fujimi wheels but these are nice and cheaper alternative

I have almost got the body painted, will post pics soon, as for the rest of the kit, I am waiting to proceed , the reason is I need to get the correct tires and wheels, correct rear bumper. Well I came accross a Polar Lights kit of Ecto1 that , and i will know if I am going to get it in four days, if so that will save me a ton of work and money on buying the parts I need .

Whats the difference from the 73 to 74 Monaco? -
Thanks guys Dan and James, I didn't take your guy's ideas the wrong way, looking at it I can see what both of you are saying, and the antenna's I completely spaced . Steve, I think the 2010 Shelby version would have that mean look as a police car, hmmm, thanks for the idea David, this is how AZ DPS cars look, other then the fact they dont or haven't used Mustangs since , I want to say the early 90's, so this 100% fantasy build.

70's 4 door sedans ?
martinfan5 replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Now if we could only get a 74 Monaco in 1/24th or 25th scale, all would be great in the model world, I gave up trying to get the guy that did the one 1/32 scale to do it 24 scale -
