I am not sure what I am going to do with this one yet, while i am figuring out what I am going to do, I decided to get the engine and interior painted. I did a couple of things to the body, I tried to correct the rear wheel openings, I am not sure how close I got them, I used the 70 wheel well openings as a template. I also opened up the trunk

These are the ones that I am doing, I am starting with the 07 Shelby gt 500, I have not decided yet on a color , I am going to add a different rear spoiler and a set of wheels and tires

I wasn't saying they should, I was just pointing it out, thats all, I would not expect them to cater to our market, And there are a lot kits that do have options to make them either RH or LH drive. And if the American company's continue to issue or reissue a reissue of an reissued kit from 40 or 50 years ago, the Japanese company's will be getting most of kit money in the future. I am not saying that I want to them to stop making older car kits, I just want to find room for some newer car kits , thats all I am asking for, from what people are saying on here , that's to much to ask for. I too would like to see the boring forgettable cars of the 70's made as well, I can some what related to them, seeing them in movies and tv shows, some four door sedans would be nice, I could use them to make police cars from that era.

Here is a little update, the body has been painted, just needs to put a few clear coats on it, engine is almost done, need to touch up the paint a little bit. Wheels are painted gold, but not sure if I like they way they look, I might strip them and redo them. Front are rear axles are on the chassis, I mover the front spindles up a little bit to lower the front stance a little bit.

I had the interior all painted then it hit me that it was the wrong color , stripping the interior right now.

I agree and for the most part I am ok with that, but it would be nice to the option to build the US version, and the other thing is most of kits are curbside, and then the price tag is in $30 and up for a curbside . I am not sure but I think that they are not marketing their kits for the US

I just make it clear that I dont hate older cars, in fact there are a lot of older cars that I like, but I really dont think in 20 years all the older car kits are going to be selling very well. The age group that would have been buying them is going to be a lot smaller. All I am saying is the model manufacturers need to make sure that they dont lose the 20-30 year market share , or all their business might very well go to the Japanese manufacturers. Thats another point, their is a demand for newer cars, just look at all the Japanese manufacture's, I would say more then half of the kits made are of cars from the 80s and up.

I know they are a lot of newer cars kits being tooled by the Japanese manufacturers , but there are down sides to those kits as well, most are curbside, and the price for the kits are a lot more. No I am not saying I want to see more Prius kits being made, or cars along those lines. I just want to see them bring out a few newer cars a year, and by newer I mean maybe 80's- 90's or even early 2000's. I completely understand the market is aimed at 40 years old and up, but as what happens if you forget the younger group, say my age group of the 30 year olds, or even a little younger, if they dont gives us kits that we can relate to and what to build , whats going to keep us interested in buying there kits. would you think the manufactures would want to try and keeps around so when we are in the target age range, we will still be buying there kits? Just a thought, and dont think I have anything against the kit manufactures for what they are releasing , I dont, I just can not relate to half of whats being produced or reissued, so there for I will not spend my money on those kits. I buy kits of cars that I have an interest or can relate to, plain an simple. All i am saying if the kit manufacturers what to be around when their target demo is no longer buying kits, they should want to keep the younger modelers interested at the same time. And yes I want more trucks kits as well

So us younger modelers get left out for the most part, I cant relate to the older cars that they are bringing out/ reissuing, so where does that leave us?. shouldn't they put some effort on my age range?, I know they are a few kits coming that are a little newer. But most of the kits for next are on cars that are what 40 to 50 years old. I would like to see them do more newer cars that are not aimed at the street racer's or the low rider crowd, but for all the kits that are being released next year, there are three that I would want to buy. So I guess if you are young and support this hobby you get left out inless you like building cars that were around before you were even thought of. Don't get me wrong, I understand they have to make what the majority of the market is going to buy, but at the same time they need to keep in touch with ones that like newer cars , or will move on to the foreign kits manufactures that produce kits that we can relate too. And I am not saying I have anything against the kits coming out , I just can not relate to most of the cars, so I am happy for the ones that are in the target demo, but its kind of cold out here.

I would have to add a lot of Revell kits, more so on the lines of the turner series and the custom ones, I just did the caddy escalade , (the California wheels one) and it pretty much put its self together

Well I am willing to bet that is was the dodge kit that was asking the higher price , and thats normal, its a hard to find kit and I not seen one for under $20 , even donor ( no box ) ones going for over $20. Same is with the 2005 Matt Kenseth ford Taurus
