  1. Thanks Bill. That was my first try with that technique.
  2. It's almost too dang humid to work on a model so progress is slow. BMF is almost finished. The marker lamps were done with Sharpies and some Testors Clear Parts Cement over BMF. The woodgrain was done using a brown Sharpie over Tamiya Red Brown acyrlic.
  3. Brand new for the same year I was.
  4. I've got the hood, grille and the wheels. Might have to order the seat from them.
  5. Yes. Thank you Tom. I wish I could play tonight but I won't be in between 8 and 9. I'm looking after an Uncle's cats and that's when I'll be checking in with them darn cats!
  6. I'm not setup for casting at this time but I wouldn't mind seeing them in person before committing. PM coming your way and Thanks!
  7. No. Wish I had especially it it's made to fit the current AMT/ERTL '67 Impala kit.
  8. That looks exactly what that "someone" is looking for. Alas, no Hobby Lobby around here.
  9. in 1/24 or 1/25. Anyone got any ideas how to do the bricks? I know Plastruct has a "brick" sheet and while I've never seen one in person, I have been told it's ain't so great.
  10. Got Jackson to polish some paint today. It's starting to look pretty good IMHO.
  11. I say you make Jackson remove all the mold-seams in a few dragster frames as pay-back !
  12. As some of you may know, I'm building a front bench seat for a '67 Impala. It's been absolute ages since I was in a car with a front bench and I'm wondering about some of the details. One mainly. Should there be vinyl pinstriping (not the right term but it's all that's coming to mind right now) on either side of the split?
  13. Can I or can I not put a coat of clear over Alcad? I've heard some so NO period and others yes but only an acyrlic clear (like Future). What is the word?
  14. Haven't felt like taking pics. of this project till now. It's pretty far along but it's finally starting to come together. I've decided not to wire the Hemi just because. Too humid to get all that fiddly with plug wires. It's built to replicate a special order '68 - Buffed silver over a silver and black interior. I just had to see if the recently arrived resin from Perry's would fit nicely and it does. A future project will be a '69 RR painted Spanish Gold to replicate a local 1:1. A mockup to see how the interior looks/fits. Wheels are painted Tamiya NATO black which is more of a very dark grey.
  15. FWIW, the "Dude" is Jackson and I've gotta watch him like a hawk. This is what happens when I don't. Oh and Thanks!
  16. Nor is it just you Dan. I accept Irv. You named it so you can judge it.
  17. I like how you think Billy. The winner of the Chip Tooth Award could be the one in the magazine.
  18. Like I said, I'm open to suggestions so here's how it's gonna be. The Hobby Heaven Dreacm Cruise stays where it is and keeps it's date. The first Annual MCM Forum Spring Break Cruise will be held the first weekend of March '07. Anyone got a problem with this?
  19. I've given things some thought. What about a Labour Day Cruise as in the 1st Annual MCM Forum Labor Day Cruise? Same rules as for the original HHMB Dream Cruise.
