  1. Neat one Izzy. Mine's in white primer since Friday. Hopefully, it'll get some colour this week.
  2. Sharp.
  3. What's this "probably"? They should. We don't need that here.
  4. I've been using cotton gloves for a few years now. I find that my final polishing tends to soften most paints so I use them for working on a model after I've givne it the final polish. Works great for me.
  5. Hmmmm...I saw that at Classic Plastic yesterday. Nice job. VERY nice job actually.
  6. Resin will take anything for paint even lacuer without a primer. No crazing! Building will involve some sanding and will make lots of dust if you do it dry. Resin has to be either super glued or epoxyed together. Model glue/cement will not work.
  7. Let's see - The basic aircleaner can be found in any of the AMT conventional (not cabovers or COE). What's in your pic. is modified. The Ford Louisville (pretty much a dime a dozen) should have one. For the frame frame rails, a frame rail is a frame rail is a frame rail. The only real difference between one truck kit and a another is the length. Think you meant to ask if both #1 and #2 are truck frame rails. #3 sure looks like a diesel engine oil pan. Can't say for certain which one but I'm guessing an AMT KW COE.
  8. Another thought. I'd heard that lots of the details parts on the various original Star Wars models came from the military side of the hobby.
  9. #4 looks like a suspension related part. #5 is a truck air cleaner. No doubt about it.
  10. Beautiful!
  11. Ya know....you're prolly right. Knowing Izzy, he could easily talk/bully us into playing along with him.
  12. You said a mouthful Chris. I've got a 502 that I've been trying to stuff into a Revell '66 ElCamino. The engine it's self has to be assembled and it's taking (much) more work that I thought it would to fit under the stock hood of the 'Camino.
  13. I'm thinking we should officially challenge Izzy to build the dirty version. What do ya say?
  14. Nice photos Izzy but way beyond what I'll do with my C6R.
  15. #2 in the second pic. looks like a distributor off a Chevy (Corvette) engine from the '90's. Any of the Revell Corvettes should have something very similar.
  16. The forthcoming RoG 599 Fiorano. What else? Thanks!
  17. We'd sorta put it to one side for a few days (about a week actually) before doing the final details. RoG's issue of the kit painted Tamiya Sprays Dark Mica Blue. As is typical of a RoG kit, fit is a little fiddly at times. In my case, it was fitting the body to the chassis and the driver's side windshield wiper. FWIW, the hood is hinged and opens but there's not much to see nor is the chassis much to look at. All aerodynamic panels. The brake rotors were given a wash but I think I should go back and give the lug nuts a wash too.
  18. Nice to see you back building again. I guess I should be happy with Jackson. He may not be all that productive but al teast he's not a klutz like Katie.
  19. "Restricted access! Password required." So says Fotki. Perhaps you can move them to an unrestricted album.
  20. I must have missed that. Sorry.
  21. The neighbour hood "went"a long time ago when someone told Peterson. Welcome aboard Mark!
  22. Not quite. SpecCast has a nice (diecast metal toy/promo) one. You can find them on that evil online Auction site. I have a '06 F250 SuperCab 4x4 longbed in John Deere colours and it came with a John Deere X series lawn tractor. There's another with a JD walk behind mower, a F350 with duals and at least two more variations.
