  1. That's the one I was thinking of.
  2. OK then. It's not from Plaskit.
  3. I brush it on with a paint brush. I sure wouldn't thin it even if I was airbrushing it as it's pretty darn thin.
  4. I "think" Daniel Gailloux of Plaskit offers it. It's an undated R series, right?
  5. I've been busy with other projects the past day or two so progress has been slow on the Ferrari. The tail lights have been installed and the whole car was polished today. Should have it road ready in another day or two so long as I have the time.
  6. It's getting harder and harder to work on as it nears completion. Typically, I don't mask to paint window trim but I thought I should on this one. The body was glued to the chassis just before I sat down at the computer tonight.
  7. Great job Izzy. As far as I'm concerned, shelf/curbside models can be as nice as regular (as in full detail) models. I love 'em.
  8. Here's the reason for the delay in updates. I've been working on the interior.
  9. It's not even close to burnt sienna Chris. A woody tan which is funny as Testors calls it Wood.
  10. An old friend dropped by today to show me his new 1:1 '07 Ford F250 SuperCab 4x4 so I showed him the partially completed Scaglietti. Even dropped the body onto the chassis for him. The reason for the holdup in progress was me trying to find a suitable colour for the brownish leather that Ferrari uses. What do you think? I think it's close enough for me.
  11. Not my show per say but I'm hoping to attend this year. To be held Sunday, October 8 at the Lawrence, MA Elks Lodge. 652 Andover http://www.classicplastic.org/ www.mapquest.com if you need directions/drive time.
  12. Had to do something about the kit supplied chrome wheels.
  13. Dang good question. I've got three or four sets of them. One is from RnD Unique (definately not the RnD one). I've got a set from GMP Diecast (Don't think this is from them) and I've got a set from Team Caliber (?). Pretty sure this one is from them whoever they are. Came from WalMart in a set of NASCAR pit goodies - jack stands, war wagon and etc.
  14. I promised a rolling chassis but sadly, Jackson and the boys couldn't deliver. It's sad when you can't count on your right hand man.
  15. Chris, Thanks! What colours did you use for the interior? Mine's a dark blue just to be different. Like this. Tamiya Sprays Dark Mica Blue to be exact. As for an update, things are moving right along. If I can find the time, I should have a rolling chassis by this time tomorrow.
  16. The fully assembled, painted, detail painted and decaled Ferrari V12. The drivetrain is now in the chassis. Hope to have the rear suspension done for tomorrow. Maybe even the front but don't get your hopes up.
  17. Silver does nothing for it IMHO. I recall seeing a red one in one of the 1:1 car mags and that one looks MUCH better. I can see a modern Yenko, Nickey and B/M versions.
  18. Don't get me wrong. Tom and HH have done loads for the hobby BUT if the body is off on a kit, I wanna know. As for the troublemakers, I think he's got them licked with his ISP number thing.
  19. Drool! Don't know how I missed this for two days.
  20. In that case, I don't want/need them. Doubt this info. would have come across on HH. Yes, it would hurt his sales but I'd rather know in advance. I've never been a fan of cartoonish dimensions.
  21. Who cares if it's got a name when it looks that good! Nice job Lyle. I don't got for bikes (won't be getting any of these kits) but this one I like.
  22. You should. No fit problems to speak of. Quick and easy build. Thanks for the kind words everyone.
  23. Congrats Billy! Let me get this stright. Your water heater is 50 years old? Wow! They sure don't make them like they used to.
