First up is the front bench seat for a '67 Impala. This started life as a rear bench seat from the AMT' 67 Impala and if it wasn't for Steve Milberry, I might well have forgotten that it's supposed to fold. I need to do a bit more scribing before it gets it's second coat of paint. Second up is my current main project. A '69 GTX with a special order interior colour. First is an experiment with the fake wood. This is the way I normally do it. This is the experiment. Which do you prefer? As a I said, special order interior colour. Silver over black. I know it was available as a S.O. in '68 so I'm using a little modeler's license on this one.

I am surrounded by Greatness
Mr. Can Am Garage replied to Tuffy's Garage's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sorry I didn't comment eariler Charlie. I had to eat and get to work. I don't know why so many people think I'm great 'cause I'm just a ordinary joe just like you who puts his pants on one leg at a time. As for Mr. Peterson, to parphrase Adam Savage of The Mythbuster's "I don't consider Dan to be a great modeler. I don't think he's great nor do I think he's a modeler". Sorry Dan. That's what you get when I watch The Mythbuster's and spend the morning baking my brains while herding a Deere around. To tell the truth, I think Dan is one of many around here who are great and include yourself in that list Charlie. -

Dang! You got me beat! I used shelf paper for the inside of the walls. The decking was painted and then I added a strip of my checkerboard shelf paper (just about impossible for me to find anymore) down the middle. Mine is patterned after a Haulmark trailer. The walls are no where near perfect as I did this after the trailer was assembled. I got carried away around the spare tire well. I even put checkboarding on top of the fifth wheel area. One of these days, I've gotta work on it some more.

Thanks guys! I've got a "few" more to build and the next classic I'll be building is a Caddy V16! -
Well...once again, Jackson and the boys managed to get a finished project out the door just in time for the promised delivery date. This is the old Monogram kit painted with Ford Calypso Coral, DC Cream for the accent and plain old Testors enamel brown. All ready for delivery to Norbert (the kind older fella who gladly lent his knowledge) just in time for the 4th. I had great fun building it and encourage anyone and everyone to try their hands at a classic car if you haven't already.

Need some help....

You don't by chance mean the '67 Corvette style ZL1 hood do you? I got one a few years back from Garage Cast IIRC and it was made to fit the AMT' 69 Nova. I'm sure you don't mean this and I'm prolly not making sense as I haven't had any caffeine yet today. -

No such luck I'm afraid. However, there is are two Cadillac Escalades. One from Revell and an EXT from AMT. -
Working scale chassis rotisserie

Rick, Get yourself to a WalMart. At one point, they had some nice sets of NASCAR tools in our scales. One of the sets includes a set of ramps. GMP Diecast also has a set of tools that includes a set of ramps. If you just want ramps, R&D unique will be happy to sell you a set. In all three cases, they're all diecast. I have sets from both GMP and WM. -
