  1. Good looking quick build, loving checking out the vans.
  2. Great work mate, I too love the top doorslammers.
  3. Received my parts today from Ray Santora (20dakota04), great guy to deal with. hope to deal with him again.
  4. Search for a Cavalier GT kit, it'd be your best option. They haven't made them for awhile but they pop up on ebay still.
  5. And lastly. We classify these as vans in Australia and it says Van on the box.....I'll leave it up to you mate.
  6. and the Chev van and race trailer, Husky Hauler, California Cruiser, 70's custom van and 1/32 Custom Chev van. If you need pics let me know.
  7. Also without looking at my stash you missed the Candy Van by AMT and the 1/16 Electronic Chev Show van. Any chance of just doing a van gallery of all the van box arts separate??? It'd be great.
  8. I've always wanted the Ice Patrol kit, I think it's because my older cousin Tony (RIP mate) built it when he was about 17 and I was about 6. Still remember it. Most of my older cousins built models and a few stuck in my memory the Ice Patrol, California Cruiser van and Willys Gasser pick up are the most vivid. I'd also love to get the Mr Sandman set.
  9. Tyres are rubber and rims are plastic, MRC Hop up kit set. Thanks for the nice comments guys, very much appreciated.
  10. Yeah I built the AMT kit first, I agree the Revell is a nicer kit, better fit and easier to assemble. I've still got to put a Ford Phantom van together to compare it to them. I'm building another AMT Chev now as a diorama.
  11. Great start, cant go wrong with a van!
  12. Well I got this one finally finished, it's the Revell reissue of the '77 Chev van, very simply build, I was just trying to make it "period correctish". Painted Shogun grey with a Lavender purple roof and pearl coat over the top. Decals from a Chevy Citation kit. Only mods were wheels (MRC Hop up set), '67 Chevelle mirrors, Aluminium exhaust tips and it got lowered a little.
  13. Thanks heaps for the link Chris, exactly what I was after, I thought I seen one on ebay ages ago but couldn't find another one so thought I'd imagined it. Gees he's got some nice stuff on there that 50 Chev panel trucks got possibilities...........
  14. I was wondering if anyone knew of a 1/16 resin 77/78 Trans Am Funny Car body, did anyone ever produce them? I recently purchased a 77 TA FC body off Competition resins and would love to try a 1/16 drag car if someone makes a body. Cheers Rob
  15. A van list would be great!!!! Hint, hint. I just checked my first issue Blazer, the box art shows big door handles but the body inside has the tiny offset ones.
  16. Nice build, the colours really suit it.
  17. I've got an original issue Blazer here if you'd like pics of any of it's parts. What about the Snow Patrol pick up? or was it Revell? I can remember the box art but not who made it.
  18. Love it, great build. Very clean and tidy, everything looks like it belongs. Cheers Rob
  19. Some interesting history there, being from Australia we never got much coverage of this in years gone by, always cool to learn something new. Our big race is Bathurst.
  20. My thoughts exactly as for time well if you want to sell you've got to put the time in to do the ad etc so that's part of it.
