Your joking right????

I was keen when I found the countdown to this years ago and devastated when I seen it emerge. I'd love to have it in my shed taking up space, it's got a great and certainly unusual story to tell and it's historically significant in it shows anyone that's silly enough to bury a car in a less than water tight contain what the end result will be.

Hey JT, no mate I've got the Moebius issues I got them from GMScustoms on ebay from the states. I've found the Revell instructions online and have downloaded them........should make life a little easier. Thanks everyone. Cheers Rob -
Hi, I'm just using automotive acrylic paint in rattle cans. Primer and clear is Repco(Aussie parts store) brand and colour is Holts Duplicolour. I haven't had the chance to polish it yet I'll let it cure for a week or so than hit it.

I haven't seen one out here mate, I think the Prostars get rebadged as CAT's out here but I'm not 100% on that. Around my area we mostly have Kenworths, Western Stars and that type of truck. I live in the Snowy Mountains and we're mainly a timber industry town with a small population of around 7000. Here's a local Tumut truck for you. -
Love it, great build and details. Cant wait to see it on a finished base!

I'm building this for a good mate, he wants to give it to one of his mates for a b'day gift. It's a replica of Bill's 1:1 33 coupe. I'm starting with the reissued/relabelled ZZ Top Eliminator. And I'm hoping to make it look like this. After prepping and primering the body I got some colour on it today finally. I got the chassis painted charcoal metallic and I've got the engine halves together and colour coded to the body. I have to have it finished by June for Bill's b'day, so I'll have to speed up my usual slow and casual pace.

After reading and seeing a heap of builds and reviews I thought I'd try my hand at building a Lonestar. Is there any major issues I should look out for? I purchased it and a Prostar at the same time but thought I'd have a go at the Lonestar first. Last night I cleaned up the rails and assembled the chassis and today I primered it. Than this afternoon I got some colour on it.

Great build of an iconic truck and trailer. -
Guilty as charged. I end up on ebay browsing...... next thing you know there's a van kit, old MPC kit or truck kit on it's way to my place. Or like last week, buy three off ebay, win a few at a show than buy three of a member of a model forum.

Got to drive a Z06 vette this weekend!

I don't know about anywhere else but the number of new trucks out here that are autos is amazing. So even the heavy duty crowd are going auto. I don't mind either but driving a cammed, cranky, manual through traffic for extended periods is both challenging and frustrating, that's why I try and avoid cities. -

There's only one real issue with Tamiya, their subject matter is garbage. And remember this is only my opinion but German and British touring cars, F1, Japanese cars and European supercars have zero interest to me. -
Thanks for the kind words guys, it was a fun, quick build and I like the way it came out.

The front end was a nightmare to put together and so was the rear. But with some fiddling and adjusting, it fits together really well.(once you get it together )

After a mate of mine, Fred complaining about display stands I knew I had to have this on one so I recycled an old base from about a decade ago that I used on a '41 Willys I built and put the model on it for the show. And much to my surprise and Fred's horror(disgust ) it came home with the gold.

Well I finally finished one, although this one was thrown together in just two weeks to meet the deadline for the NSW NNL Titles, I'm happy with the way it turned out. (Even if it was finished at 1.30am the morning of the show). It's standard out of the box virtually, after last years show it was decided we'd allow bare metal foil, flocking and ignition wires to be added to the NNL cup category. The colour is Holts Ford Wild Violet, with white primer seats and Tamiya purple carpet.
