Got made learn to drive in a manual as did virtually all my mates, it's easy as and after years of doing it you don't even think about it. I don't mind either though both have there uses and advantages.

I cant say about the new movie as I haven't seen it but the van in the original series was a longish wheel base and the model kit is the same length as the AMT bodies.

The engine swap looks a lot better than the wheels on it.

I hope the reissue has a choice of clear or tinted green windows, I'd like to do one with the green windows just for nostalgia sake.

They do pop up quite often as Scummy said if you know what you're looking for. Scummy's bought a few I've collected over the years off me. One of the early 123's I had that ran Torsion bar also ran two piece tyres. The W model that had torsion bar was boxed as a Watkins truck, the only difference is the side panel on the box.

Love the weathering on the truck, like to know more details as to how you did it. And that trailer build is incredible to say the least. Excellent work.

It all comes down to personal opinion really, personally I think Peter Brock was a better driver than Stirling Moss, Brock won rally cross races, Around Australia Rally, 9 times Bathurst winner and plenty more. Won Bathurst in 1979 by 6 laps, led every lap of the race and to show how strong the car was set a new lap record on the last lap. Top Fuel pilots have to be good steerers too and rally drivers.....well they're a special breed of crazy. Brocks last two laps in '79, the last lap is legendary. Glen Seton in the rain at Bathurst 1987, sideways at 200+kph at the 1:20 mark, than from 2:20 onwards watch this for driver skill. And for anyone that's never seen Bathurst here's Daryl Waltrips lap around there.

Got my ebay wins in the mail today, Ford Race car Hauler and International Transtar 4300. Going to use the Transtar as a donor kit for an Atkinson 4870. Also got a MCG photoetch set for the 58 Plymouth. Got excited and bought a Moebius Prostar and Lonestar last night on ebay from GMS customs so hopefully they'll be here next week.

I love the way that the Jaymar quality is even known about in the Netherlands.

I got one of these today, looks like a cool subject. After some eyeball engineering I'm thinking of running a S2 Kenworth cab and bonnet instead of the Ford if I can get it to fit.

I've been thinking about back dating the Firebird and putting a 77/78 front on it, just personal preference but I think they looked the best out of all the fronts.

They're snap kits and very simplistic, have simple engine bay detail and underside detailing, some clever detail painting would bring them to life though. The interiors aren't bad and the body lines look real good. The main body is the same with just different front and rear panels so the Camaro front slopes away more than it should but flows nicely. They're something a bit out of the ordinary and would make interesting shelf models or curbsides. Definitely worth the admission price even to use as a slump buster kit.

I got the Camaro Kammback today, I've had the Firebird version for awhile but never seen the Camaro before I laid eyes on this one.

How about a Back to the Future Delorean? Or should I say Derolian.

I built up a 56 Delray as a gasser, it looks the part and the Revell 41 Willys is a great kit to build. Also like the Thames delivery kit as I'm a panel/van nutter.

The 73 issue had the 454 option and surfboards also. (Red, white and blue box art) Going of the contents it's virtually identical to the Strip and Surf van, except the decals.

Hi guys, After reading about and seeing how the NNL concept took off in the U.S and going to a heap of judged shows here in Australia where people left disheartened with the results and the judging systems I started the NSW NNL Titles. Originally I committed to running the show for 3 years to see if it'd work and if people would enjoy the format, in April this year we will be running our 12th show so it obviously worked. While our show has categories and trophies and awards for each one we don't have judges picking the winners. Our show is supposed to be a one day event but over the years it's developed into a whole lot more than that. We now get people showing up on the Friday and Saturday and staying over for the event on Sunday and quite a few stay for the Monday and Tuesday. Because of the way our show has grown we usually have a pizza night at my house on the Friday, take early entries on Saturday followed by everyone going out for tea together, than the show on Sunday after which we usually all go out for tea again. The social atmosphere and laid back attitude has made our show what it is the early arriving entrants help us set up the venue and pack it up, they're all regulars to the event and have become like a second family to us. They've watched our kids grow and we've shared over a decade of memories and friendship with them. The way our event is "judged" is every entrant gets a voting slip and chooses the model they like the best in each category, the votes are tallied and the one with the most is awarded "most popular" in its category, not the best or first. This takes away all the arguing and hassles associated with a proper judged event, in all the years running it we've never had a compliant and the show keeps getting bigger and better. Whether our show is a true NNL because we hand out awards, ribbons and free kits I don't know but the friendships, social side and good time had by all tells me it certainly is in the spirit of the original NNL concept. A no politics/ego's show where the main priority is having fun and enjoying our hobby. Cheers Rob
