You didn't say what kind of resin you were using. MEK will work cleaning polyester like used in fiberglass resin. If you are using a urethane resin I have had good results cleaning with lacquer thinner or alcohol. Some urethanes don't like RTV when it is freshly cured. Sometimes a post-cure of a couple of weeks makes it work better. Good luck. Andy

Love it! Your finished model displays both craftsmanship and design in ample quantities. That Revell VW bus kit is so awful. I put 2 coats of Dupont 30S Gray primer on mine and it was still green! I can hardly wait to see what you can do to a Bugzapper! :twisted: Andy

Very Cool! I have the same kit but was planning a more sedate build. It looks like the flame pattern tires need to be swapped side to side to get the directional tread going forward. Most people don't realize it :? but DUNE BUGGIES ARE COMING BACK!!!! Andy Martin :twisted:

I buy a kit if it is a kit I WANT to build. I may not get it built before I kak :twisted: but I have it in case I decide to build it. I bought a ton of kits in the early 80s. I was not out of control yet, but I could see it from there. Finances required some divesting and I shedded all diecasts and 1/43rd. I was too unfocused. I tend to keep my kit inventory real tight now and try not to stray from about half a dozen areas of interest and 95% in 1/24-5. I have been averaging about 12 -15 built models per year over the last 5 years. Andy Martin

.....was the Edsel. The 58 Ford is ugly but cute. The Lincoln was atrocious and Mercury only slightly better then that! GM 58s were quite well done as were most Chrysler corp cars. Ford drastically improved starting in 59 with the Ford and 61 with Lincoln. They went from dismal to spectacular in a few short years but 58 was BAD! Andy
