  1. Cool concept. I like it.
  2. Why you old blankity-blank!! I think I can manage that. How about banning people who don't even try to use punctuation. That is almost more offensive.
  3. Maybe it was his parents who couldn't spell! There is a lot of that going around these days. You could have been named "Myc".

  5. Will you guys quit elevating the conversation???!!!!
  6. Actually, it becomes a point of pride to say that I paid $X000.00 bucks for that piece. It's an interesting psychological phenomonem. I would be proud of something I paid a gazillion bucks for....if it was worth it!
  7. I think the Paul Hettick models appeal more to the promo collecters. Those guys are willing to pony up some buckaroos for their toys! Paul does really clean and appealing builds of a lot of resin kits. He even built and sold one of my Firebird III kits. I suspect he does it to support his hobby expenses. I have known some builders over the years who have gotten good money for buillding but there is little consistency in it. It can be boom one month and bust for the next 3. I don't do custom building any more. I haven't for at least 15 years now. The model car biz is a good one for making a small fortune.........from a large one! It's the passion for it that keeps most of us in it. Except for Don Thuene. He ships thousands of packages out all the time!!! It's a cash cow for him.
  8. Not bad at all! I like it.
  9. Are there any?
  10. Should I stay or should I go. Wasn't that a Clash song?
  11. That was cool. Thanks for sharing it!
  12. You are thinking of the old Entex/ Japanese kit of the George Whittell/ Bill harrah owned car. The ITC / Ringo kit is 1/12 scale and comes as a Rollston Convertible coupe. It is an SJ and has the old style log exhaust manifold instead of the flex pipes. Both All-American Models and ScaleKraft made 1/24th scale French Speedsters in resin. It takes a bit to find them but they are out there.
  13. As if you need more projects, but ITC did a big scale Duesenberg It wasn't 1/8th. I Think it was 1/16 or 1/12. It was not a bad kit. They aren't very pricey when found either, especially for a rebuidable one.
  14. I think it is fair to say that this is the best Pyro Lincoln Continental ever built! Great job - I like it.
  15. I just scanned and loaeded a bunch of articles to my Fotki album. Please feel free to harvest whatever you want from there. If you want full size scans and have a good interenet connection I can e-mail them. There were no more clues to the interior other than that they put in their own aluminum firewall and floorboards. The car is unique for Sox & Martin in that it was their only car to run a tube front axle, no front brakes and no radiator. They wanted to get it to be as light as the tube frame fiberglass flip-up Comets.
  16. To quote Bill Murray in one ofhis movies, " I've seen better.......... but not many." Seriously, though, they are all looking really superb!
  17. And He makes them very well! I have one and it is superb! He makes some other Willys body parts too.
  18. Almost sounds like a nozzle problem - clogging? Perhaps your air pressure is too low. I go with 15 lbs when the trigger is pressed down so I get an actual 15 flowing. In my experience any glossy black paint is fine. I have used lacquer and enamel. If you use a blue basecoat it lokks a little more chromey. Try again on scrap pieces. It is heavily dependent on developing technique.
  19. Here is what I found from May 1966 Super Stock and Drag Illustrated. I don't know about the headliner. Some of those A/FX cars still had a white headliner in them. I would guess that this car has the trunk paint on it. I will look for more pics.
  20. I found a b&w of the interior that I will scan and load up in a day or two. The drivers door was just the bare door painted. There was no covering or aluminum on it. The passenger door was permanently closed and welded up. There are crossbraces across it to tie it together. Remember that all of the Mopar FX guys who ran altered wheelbases in '65 bent their cars! It looks like most of the interior was sprayed with trunk paint! I don't think there was any bare aluminum in it. With the trunk open you can see all the way through the windsheild. The windows were all tinted blue and the passenger side was one piece front to back. I will try to find more in my Wall O'Mags this week.
  21. Don't know Brad but Minnesota has an E in it like Minnehaha not Mississippi. That's all.
  22. Don't Panic! I have read most of the Douglas Adams books, also. They are hugely enjoyable. Also wanted to say that I enjoy your posts, Arni.
  23. Do they have a website? I can not live without the SAAB 96!
  24. Gregg, What are doing in the Model Mag biz? You could be a geek.
