  1. Every kit I buy is bought to build. It may take me the rest of my life and then some though.
  2. Often I have dreams that I acually finish all of the kits I have started.
  3. Wow, nice collection Fred. Feel free to send me any of the cars you don't want to keep.
  4. Kudos for trying to apply a modellers fix. Go to a good jeweler. I think someone else mentioned this as well.
  5. I am a model hoarder with good intentions. I have to many unbuilt kits to count. The last time I did which was almost 2 years ago I was in above 1000 kits and I have bought many more since then. I don't brag about how many kits I have because it is a little embarassing to admit it to others. At the rate I build them I will never be able to finish them all but I just know if I get rid of 1 or more I'll get the urge to build the one I let get away and start the search to find a new one. For now I am just trying to cut down on the buying and get building. This is an all to familiar story with us modellers. I cannot believe they haven't had a Hoarders episode with one of one there.
  6. Not boring at all. Everything looks super clean. Looking forward to seeing more.
  7. Great build Shane. The paint looks great and I like the idea of using the Cutlass frame on the old AMT kit.
  8. We don't have any snow here Ron but I like the shots you took. If we can some snow here I am going to give that a try.
  9. I just want to know what happened to this car?
  10. Welcome to the forum Thomas.
  11. You are not alone with this wish Ray.
  12. Thanks for sharing that link. Very, very cool.
  13. Very nice job. I had always hoped they would come out with more kits in this generation of GMs. As mentioned earlier the interior just pops on your car.
  14. The hobby shop I go to has a shrink wrapper. They use it to shrink wrap model like Airfix and Revell of Germany that don't come shrink wrapped. They found these type of kits opened and either parts or the entire contents of the boxes had been removed.
  15. I to am an all of them type of guy. I have a really hard time saying I am done with a build. I just keep making the workbench bigger!
  16. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who lost their lives today.
  17. There is a saying I haven't heard in many years. I wonder when Revell will release the California Wheels version of the Tata. Now that would be bodacious!
  18. Sorry to hear about all this Richard. $17,000 sure is a lot of money to come up with in an emergency like this. I am sure once all this mess is over you'll get back to your day to day life including modelling.
  19. I haven't heard of such a thing at all. I doubt that it exists especially between family members.
  20. Darn, I was going to hold off buying this kit for a little while but after seeing your engine I just ordered 2. Gee thanks, By the way, it looks great in the 32. I also like where you are going with the chop job.
  21. Simply awesome work Brandon. Your scratch building skills are incredible. Can't wait to see more.
  22. Very cool indeed. $7000 is a bit steep for me though.
  23. You have my vote for John as one of the best modellers I have ever seen. There are so many builders to mention but let's not forget Rommel as well. I like the Docs idea of a modeller of the month.
  24. I love the car and love how well this model came out. Great job. I do this kind of thing all of the time. Summer is the best time for me to paint so I often paint several kits so I can complete them in the winter months. I do however forget which ones I have done and through the shuffle of finished and started kits I loose track. Every once in a while I will discover a started kit that I have totally forgotten about. Mine never seem to look as good as yours though.
  25. That is a great idea to be able to check your stock on a smart phone. I know what you mean when it comes to multiples of paints.
