  1. The outage just shows us how much we all enjoy this forum. I am with you Dr. Cranky. If help is needed to donate I would. Maybe that is all he needs to do is setup a donation account. I was talking to Gregg a couple of weeks ago about getting the magazine in a digital format. I have subsribed to other mags this way and really enjoy having them available on my notebook and iPad. I know Gregg is looking into this and hopefully this will increase the subsriptions and make things a little easier for him in the long run.
  2. It says in the write up nobody was seriously injured. Hard to believe. What a scary moment. Thanks for sharing that.
  3. That's great Terry! I need to do the same. I am up to about 260 myself and I know my ideal wieght should be around 190.
  4. I wish you all the best with your surgery Kevin. Remember the doctors are performing these operations everyday. With the technology they have at hand now they can work with precision. I know it is tough not to worry when you are faced with such a serious situation. Your faith in the doctors and god will get you through. We'll all be here for you when you are feeling better.
  5. Thanks Fred, I found the hood on Craigslist for $40. Just make sure it has a fan where the motor is not in the airflow. I would suspect that most range hoods are designed in such away to avoid grease fires. I may shorten the booth a little. It works well but as you mention it is huge.
  6. Neal, I just love your indoor workspace. Looks alot like my own.
  7. I think they made some changes to the new version to make it easier to use. Like most people I switched back to the old version a couple of months ago after trying the new version. I felt lost in the new version. I switched over to the new one again today but I do find it easier to use now.
  8. I'm not sure that they all have squirrel cage fans but the one I have has them. Here is a shot showing the motor in between the 2 squirrel cage fans. This is the finished paint booth. It works very well. I live in an apartment and this setup has got rid of all of the complaints of fumes in the house. I also used additional filters I cut out from furnace filter.
  9. Great job Al. There is no way I would be able to see well enough to build something that small.
  10. Very nice build Al. I'm with you, enjoy your models the way you want to. Looks like you are doing well after the stroke. Best of health to you Al.
  11. Very nice truck Ben. I may have to grab one of these kits now.
  12. Absolutly beautifull !!!
  13. Beautifull job on the 50 Olds.
  14. Nice clean build Chris. The 68 and 69 El Caminos are great.
  15. It's good to hear Lindberg provides the same level of cutomer service as Revell.
  16. Looks like I am in good company here. I thought it was just me that is falling apart but now I see I am not alone. Started with me about 4 years ago when playing ice hockey I was no longer recovering very quickly from an injury. Every part of me hurt from my feet to the top of my head. My back would get so stiff I could hardly walk for a day or two after playing the game. Finally I decided that it was time to let that part of my life go before I kill myself. I am now 47 and I have to find something to keep me active. Watching hockey doesn't help me to stay slim. The belly is getting a little bigger everyday.
  17. Very interesting, I didn't realize they had MRI trailers either. You have done a great job scratch building all of the MRI equipment.
  18. The hood you painted looks great. You'll wonder why you didn't start airbrushing a lot sooner now. Have fun with it.
  19. Another option is to find a range hood for your exhaust fan. I was lucky to find a brand new suitable range hood with dual squirrel cage motors on craigslist for $40. Here are a couple of shots before i built it into a box. This has worked very well for me.
  20. I buy a kit with the intentions of building it then I see another kit and buy it with the same intention. Repeat several hundred time and now I have a huge stash of kits. I also start to many projects and have a hard time finishing one.
  21. Just goes to show ya "Never feed Gremlins plastic after midnight". Welcome aboard Jason.
  22. Thanks Kenny, I'll have to look for that the next time I am in Michaels. Do you think it may be to big for 1/25th? Truely though, you are a master builder. I was looking at your Camaro and it is equally as nice.
  23. This is just an unreal build Kenny! What did you use for the wood accsents in the dash and doors?
