  1. Very true but I think revell is trying to turn the tide so to speak even if lets say a couple thousand younger kids find the new kits interesting then maybe a couple 100 or so really take to the hobby I see that as a win not only for the child and Revell but I see it as a win for all of us modelers
  2. Hey I look at it like this as you said it is a trend like skyjackers for a nose down rake that I grew up with which imo is cool but I shudder about how they handle same with the trend you're talking about. I sometimes wonder if all these trends both old and new are created by tire and replacement part manufacturer. Lol ( totally tongue in cheek not trying to hurt anyones feelings) Austin thank you for the answer
  3. reading this post I had a vision of any ice cream truck with cheech and chong driving it modeled after the one they drove in nice dreams
  4. I would say anything you wish as long as it is a vivid color something that jump out at you maybe assaults the eyes pro streets always look best in high impact colors IMHP
  5. Beimg I have a couple great uncles buried in bastogne this day along with dec 7 and V.E. day, and finally V.J. day mean quite I bit in my family. Not that it pertains to this thread but I have an uncles who died in the Bataan death march and two in vietnam so anyone who has served this country I have two words to say. "THANK YOU"
  6. Austin I don't want to sound rude and this isn't meant to degrade anyone but what is the reason for doing this is it just a style or is there a reasoning behind it? Being a grad of auto tech and certified by A.S.E. I have the logic of why doing this to a 1:1 car is a bad idea being wear on tires drivablity issues and premature wear on wheel bearing and such. I am not trying to disparage anyone I just am wondering why please don't take this as one of those type of comments because I myself run reverse wheels on my Camaro which is also hard on bearings. I guess what I'm asking is what is the origin of this look

  13. I would think a hollow tire and a wider rim then just super glue the tire to each side of the rim
  14. Hqving lost my mom to cancer back in feb I think this is a great build!!!!! I didn't have time to build it like you do but I was able to get my mom the Corvette I always promised I 'd get granted it was 1:25th but I did. Seeing this build made my eyes well up a bit thank you
  15. Sounds interesting do you have picture examples of both processes?
  16. I have found flocking at a coiple places that are only locl to my area I'd. Suggest detail masters which is where my hobby shop gets it from but I have also switched to embossing powder because its a lot easier to use you don't have to strain it like flocking and like others mention it can be painted any colour you want
  17. I did the long hall back in 99 with my Camaro and I got to meet a lot of cool folks even christopher Titus the comedians. Sadly lack of time has keptme from going again but also the quality of the magazine has went way down so that also plays a part in why I don't go
