I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and I did not find any problems with the body in my kit.

Folks, I went to the speedway today, here in Daytona for pre season testing for the Rolex 24 hours race and came away with some great research photos to share. I was able to gain access to pit road during practice as well strolling through the garage area and get up close and personal with the machinery and people. I am including a link to the completed photo album for all to see. http://public.fotki.com/1320wayne/race_eve...-24-hours-pre-/

Now that is one beautiful build.

That's a pretty slick looking build, Marc. I love the stance and the blacked out wheels. Can't wait to see the finished piece.

Greg, I'm also looking at this list as not just the top 50 best models ever built, but the top 50 models that have left a lasting impression on the modeling hobby as a whole. What models have shown unique styling cues and innovation? Like: Mike Carrol's Nuclear Waste Andy Kallen's first Klingon Kruiser award winner Jim Keeler's Dodge Fever The Astrodan The Pegasus Mark Gustavson's Mercarri And again, the list could go on and on. It's builds like these and all of the others listed throughout this post that I draw my inspiration for always trying different building styles.

You can lower the rear suspension by cutting off a cuple of rings from the molded plastic rear springs. The front can be lowered by cutting off the pins on the front spindles and raising them and reattaching them.
-
Another excellent build. The finish and detail is superb.
-
Very nice build.

Hey James, that must have been the day that I called Ron and he was upstairs in his model room wrapped in a blanket because it was only 32 degrees outside. He said that was the high for the day. And yes, I do kind of miss Oregon.

Here is my next project in line. This is a replica of the Nelson Carter Super Chief Charger funny car. It is based on a Revell 70's Gene Snow Charger funny car kit. The decals have been computer generated and transferred to decal film. All of the body color has been masked off and painted. This one will be receiving the full engine and chassis detail.

Here is a simple, straight out of the box, buildup of AMT's 71 340 Duster kit. After all of the heavily detailed projects I have to take a break every now and then and just build one right out of the box with no changes. The paint is Testors Sassy Grass Green. The interior was painted with textured upholstery paint.

Here is a link to this past weeks Thanksgiving holiday car show at the Daytona International Speedway. Thousands of cars to look over along with hundreds of vendors. I only had one day away from work to attend so the pictures are sparse. This is a must see event for the street rod, custom and street machine enthusiast. http://public.fotki.com/1320wayne/car_show...daytona-turkey/

Here is a link to my photo album showing over 200 pics. from the recent Mopar show held each November at Don Garlits museum of drag racing in Ocala, Fl.. Lots of good looking cars. Factory stock, street machines and plenty of modern Mopar muscle. http://public.fotki.com/1320wayne/car_show...ars-at-garlits/
