  3. Got this today. Should say "back". my dad built it in 1972 and gave it to me for my first car. Gave it baack to me today. Not sure when I'll get started on it but it needs everything. .030 327 13:1 muncie M-22, and a ball to drive. So glad I got her back...
  4. Thanks everyone. The next couple of updates will concentrate on the front suspension. The chassis is painted semi gloss black which is pretty close to the 1:1. I will dirty it up once it's close to being finished... here are the coilovers I built using brass tubing, rather than gluing them I decided to solder them up. this pic shows the spring I made using a soft stainless wire, they'll be painted red and assembled permanently here's a side shot of the scratch built spindle, to can also see the radius arms in place.still got a bit of tweeking to do here to fix the caster.. straight on shot ride height, I think I got it....

  7. Thanks Terry, I stumbled onto that site when I started the project.... Got the motor for the most part done ,few small details left return spring, fuel lines etc. those will be added once the motor is in the frame... This is the first time Ive used washes to bring out some of the details. Some of its a bit heavy handed but Im learning. Thanks for looking...

  13. Heres the next installment on the 55. I scrathbuilt the headers, built a crossmember for the ladderbars started building the interior panels and opened up the grill. heres a few pics...
  14. As Dave pointed out, The car was a leaf spring and ladder bar set up. It had conventional shocks out back. Thanks for the comments guys. I'll do my best to get it right. Matt's a little guy but his like a spider monkey, wirey and quick

  16. Heres the start to one of my all time favorite cult classic movie cars of all time. I used the body from the AMT 55 chevy and the chassis from the Revell 56 nomad. I scratch built everything forward of the firewall. the front axle is soldered brass.the rear springs and perches are scratch built the rims are from Ed Fluck.. Comments are always welcome..

  21. Her'es a quick update on the Speedway bike. Changed all the fittings out with some that I made from brass and aluminum. made new bolt heads for the engine mounts. Changed out the plug wire with a piece of communcation wire... Its going together really well..
