  1. Picked up my first one today, One set of valve covers have sink marks and my whitewall piecrusts have a "slight" offset to the whitewall. The race masters are FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Going to my LHS Monday to pick up my other one...
  2. Picked this stuff up from My buddy Matt LeBlanc's show over in La. Great show and AWESOME GUMBO...
  3. Exactly, who's the real fool here. The one selling or the one buying. I sold a pretty comprehensive drag car model collection about 10 years ago. About 2000 cars ranging from 1959 to the early 90's. I was selling them all on eBay with a starting price of $9.99 each with no reserve and let the models do the selling. I'll tell you this; I was astounded at what some of the models sold for.
  4. I read Bob, that you spray from cans. I cant remember if Dave sprays just cans as well. the wet coats you guys are spraying may be too much for the slixx decals. Might try spraying a few more mist coats before going "wet" to see if that works. I know with the urethane I spray I shoot about 6-8 light coats before getting "progressively" heavier...
  5. Bob, this is turning out really nice. I have NEVER had much luck with spray enamels. Looks like you got the touch, Very nice....
  6. Don would be proud...
  7. this is really nice. great job so far...
  8. your scratch building is spot on. I really like your work on this one...Robert at RB Motion is top notch and if your not careful you can spend a weeks salary with him. Ask me, I know...

  14. Are you building the Hollish car too? I would love to see it. I make alot of my linkage and some of whats on this car is made and some came from the same company that offers the front wheels...
  15. No problem. If you're asking about the fronts I posted the answer above your first post the rears came ebay They are a really nice resin wheel from the seller: chichingot Does that help?
  16. Im not sure what your asking. What do you want to know about the rims?
  17. The wheels are from Machined aluminum specialties and they are fiddly at best. System 17 You can find them on eBay from the seller customs_by_terry. He is also a member here... Thanks Mike!!!!
  18. Here's where the magic happens I would LOVE to see J. Saubers workbench. Come on man Post it up...
  19. Hey guys, where are you guys getting those trick looking aluminum wheels for your slots. Any help would be great!!!!
  20. HAHA you should have seen it before I started tweaking it. It was carrying the right front. Oh the joys of scratch building...
  21. Here's the latest update on the Hollish car. I found a seller on Ebay that make the correct four hole wheels for this car and grab them as soon as I saw them. I believe the seller is a member here but not sure who he is. So THANKS for the wheel... On to the pics. Scratch built shocks made from brass tube and rod.... Gotta get the camber right still tipped in a bit on the top.. One of the few aftermarket items on the car. Thanks for looking...
  22. either way Jody. Even If both cars were the real deal the race would have ended pretty much in the same way. What I mean is both are purpose built cars. Gearing, tires, weight etc. All play a factor. Think of it like this. If Ronnie Sox had entered his "Bird" in a nascar race against Petty at a circle track do think Ronnie would have won that race too. Doubtful... the infamous Petty Cuda And a Petty Equipped Pro Stock driven by Roy Hill
  23. Yea Eric, I should have it there on the primer table...
