  1. Man I'm all over this one!!!!!
  2. Bill, Sorry for your loss. I have always had dogs but you are right they become part of your family. Our girl is 11 now and she has slowed down some and has lost her hearing some but she still is very active. She sleeps with my son every night and to this day "senses" when he on his way home from school She has been the best pet we have ever had. she will be hard to replace. My thoughts are with you big guy...
  3. Thanks guys. I plan for this one to look like its been ran. More firsts for me.
  4. starting to look like something...
  5. I read where someone was having fits with there p/l slixx decals but Im guessing it was the user or possibly where they were storing them.. I for one have built several of these using the kit decals and had zero issues. You are doing a great job on this one. Keep up the great work. These are fun kits and I hope P/L decides to do more of these....
  6. Great start Fletch. It makes me want to get out "El Gringo" and finish it up. I'll be watching this one....
  7. Already been addressed thanks. Thanks everyone for the comments. This has been a really fun build so far... Ive been in touch with the owner of the car and he has been a great help....
  8. small update on the frontend. It is entirely scratch built. the shackles are brass and soldiered... Thanks for looking...
  9. Great thread, My first build was with my dad and we built the revell 57 chevy Nomad. This was the issue that had the flamed car out by the beach with the surf in the back ground. I dont have the kit anymore but we built it to look like our 57 nomad. Still have the real car...
  10. Yep it has snowed here twice in less than a year. I believe thats a record Ed...
  11. Oh I wouldn't say that. I'm a big fan of sprinters. Ya done good on this one...
  12. Im so ready for this kit to be released its not funny...
  13. Man thats awesome, Ive lost 30 pounds since july. Im down to 207 and I feel great. My next doctors visit I should be getting off some of my diabetes meds...
  14. Whatever you do don't force it. If he wants to build it will happen. My 10 year old has built a couple of models and has even shown and won with them. He loves cars (tuners to be exact) but as of late has been playing youth tackle football and is a pretty darn good defensive tackle as well as linebacker. I support anything he wants to try. this is his second year playing and was averaging 2-3 sacks a game this season. If he decides to build again I'll be here for that. Until then I'm the loudest dad in the stands...
  15. Started on the motor and blower set up. The original car had a handmade blower manifold welded up from 12 pieces. mines a modified one from a Stone Woods and Cook kit The two hole injector is made from aluminum and plastic and will have alum bolts around the edge.. Here's the induction unit mocked up Pretty boring stuff really. I still need to figure out the chain drive Thanks for looking...
  16. Thats funny Eric. I was there Friday until about 3pm Right after the cacklefest. I bet we walked right by each other...
  17. Eric Did you buy those from Chuck or Bernard or someone else. I was there as well. a few of the items I posted on my last post in this thread came from both of them....
  18. Personally I couldn't care less how others build or what sequence they build in as long as they are building. Thus keeping the hobby alive....
  19. Thanks Guys, I really appreciate all the kind words. It is built from a 1/25 scale Jungle Jim bag kit that I got in trade from a member here last year sometime. some wiring and plumbing, House of Kolor Lemon Yellow slixx decals and Urethane clear. I modified the chassis to get it to sit lower and redid the tin.I also remved the hump from the hood to flatten it out a bit. I used a file to work the sidewalls a bit and added flat spots to the bottoms of the rear tires....
  20. HAHA gotcha. Thanks, I have never done this type of scratch building before so Im sure there are some areas where I could improve. Thanks for the comments..
  21. Thanks for all the kind words. It was a fun build for sure...
  22. Thanks, I think There's still some work to do around the window openings to make them more 3 dimensional. The roof opening definitely needs some tuning as well...I'm sure more will be revealed once the first coat of primer goes on as well...
  23. OK, the body is about ready for primer. I have added the drip rail around the roof and some side molding. on to the suspension next go around. let me know what you think good bad or just plain junk....
