Chrysler Turbine Car from the movie "The Lively Set"
Dominik replied to Dominik's topic in Model Cars
Thank you everybody for your words! Thanks a lot! I never seen the film till i bought the EZ-built-kit. There is a picture from it on the side and this makes me wondering. So i searched the web, ordered the movie and watched it second to second. Informations and pictures are hard to find from it, so i built it like the car in the movie with a couple of shotscreens. Made a lot of fun! The bad was, that the decals from the kit didn't looks like the movie car. And, Toni, thats right: the number on the roof must be bigger. but there is no point to be jealous To make your own decals you only need - Decalpaper clear or white, - a good graficprogram like Photoshop and sometimes Office for letters, - a photoprinter, - Clearcoat, - time and loss to make it. not rocket science- 17 replies

Phuuu.....THANKS eyeryone for your words! I am awaiting the Re-Issue too, to build it again. I dont know why, but since i search the web for the history and all stuff to find out, what difference cars they built before they give them to the people for testrides, i love the turbine more and more. Its definitely my favorite kit of all in my shelf. The full detail kit is still in progress...takes a couple of days or more to finish. Sure, they will become a diorama too. The question about he color i used...now, i went in a carshop in my town and there is a big shelf with spray cans. I compared it with a photo and took it. The label is "Multona", Nr. 510. Its similar to a color from Honda, Brilliantorange Code "YR576M". This Turbines i posted when i saw the Re-Issue here in the forum. To give you a pulse, what can be done from the simple EZ-built kit I think, it worked

Cooool ride Manuel - awesome! Where have you get these strewballs (?) in the trunk?

Thanks for the review of those kits! I am a great fan of the Turbinecar (see "Under Glass" Section) and hope, that they make the decals for the "Lively Set"-Turbine correct now. The decals in the EZ-kits are more then bad. The driversname, manufacture on the fender, blue stripes and the "5" is incorrect, so i made the decals self...that was easier as to cut the inlaying decals. This cutlass is pretty too. When can i get one? When will they be selling both kits? And: where can i get one outside the states? Is there a dealer like modelroundup?

Hi, saw this new issued Kit from IMC in "New Kit Review"-section. I thought, this might be the right time, to show you my next Turbines. I love this cars - what a interesting story. Today I will give you the result of my next Turbine Cars - my "Projekt of the Year 2011". As the basis of the two I used the EZ-Kit built by Jo-Han: 1963 Chrysler Turbine Car Jo-Han, 1 / 25, # EZ-202 I served as a template available a few pictures of these two vehicles ... ... the first and second prototypes represent (quasi pre-series). The main differences to the "series" of TC 50 are the interior and at prototype No.1 the missing vinyl roof. Here are a few pictures: ...

Why should we laugh? You have your beginning "gluecareer" kept safe in the shelf. I think, the memorys when you look at the cars are unique and invaluable. Cool, Corey. Hold them.

What could i say, that not be said? Awesome paintjob! Looks like a perfect custom to me.

Thanks again for kindest words! I like the first issue kits and to build it gives me more fun as a new kit. One from these BelAir i have in my shelf and will build it in showroom condition. John, the exhaust is changed from the owner. The same time, as he changed the engine for more speed - to arrive his work fast and to have more time to spend on his car. Steve, all the stuff like bottles, boes, radio in the trunk, coolerhose is self made. a little crazy thing. The "Fireball Roberts Parts" was the idea, that i found in the web, as i searched for decals to make a weathering on it. To make it authentic i took these "22". I changed the bonnet, removed the quarterwindow (?) at the driversdoor and ordered the original decalsheet to go as close to the original Fireball Bel Air with the "used" parts. Thanks Doc, i will go on with some rusty cars.

Dominik replied to Bernard Kron's topic in Model Cars
Here it is! Just saw your WIP... Looks very shiny - the colors are playing well together. Like it! But...is the body not fixed on the right side? There is a gap between the rear fenders and the back. What happened?
